Remember when Ware was abusing Tyron in preseason?

Now he's looking finished and Smith is looking All-Pro. Who woulda thunk?

That was probably without pads and Tyron couldn't really hit demarcus with that initial punch. Ware just looks like he is being overpowered by everyone.

But yet, all we heard out of camp was that ware was dominating Tyron and we should be worried that Tyron is not progressing.... Complete 180 now

I don't think Ware is remotely healthy right now, regardless of what he says. He doesn't have any power in his game at all right now. Now that doesn't mean this isn't the new normal for him, it might be. He's spent a lot of the last 2-3 years playing injured. But, I think it is quite possible that he was a much better player when camp began than he is now.

For all the poor play both on offense and defense, it seems the OL has come together nicely despite the loss of Waters. Granted, they have had their moments, but as a group they seem to be one of the few bright spots on this team right now.

I would have thunk it. In fact, I said it in several threads.

I was worried about Demarcus Ware going into the season and didn't think his transition would be as smooth as everyone thought. He has to line up directly over an OL now so he doesn't have the angle to get around the corner he used to. Add that to the fact he has obviously lost a lot of his explosion and he can't stay healthy and you have a guy who should be a situational pass rusher right now.

I thought all along, if he could stay healthy, Spencer would have a more natural transition. He is more used to fighting off and shedding blocks. It's a shame I don't think we will ever get to see it. I think he could be dynamic.

I also defended Tyron to the ends of the earth all offseason and told people they needed to let him get through this season. All he had to do was keep progressing like he did last year and he would finish this year as ma top tier OT. The sky is the limit for that kid. He is the only player on the roster I would feel comfortable locking up long term right now.

If ware is hurt then he should not have been playing the last few weeks. He has hurt this team more than he has helped. Everette Brown is more difficult to block right now than ware.

The coaching staff should see this and not allow him to suit up. Ware should also realize he is hurting the team and not suit up until he is ready.

If he truly is playing hurt, chances are if he would have sat out an extra month he would be healthy now. But this coaching staff is too stupid to realize this.

Why would we want our best pass rusher healthy for the stretch run when he can play through it and have no impact...

I agree. I think if Ware was healthy he'd look much better than he does now. He's still probably lost a step even if/when healthy. Unfortunately, he's old so it isn't really worth it to wait around for him to get healthy. For some young like Sean Lee it is (though I'm getting tired of being teased). But for Ware it isn't.

I heard from someone that he was going through a divorce? Not sure if true. Would explain the steep decline in production because he was doing well earlier in the season.

Definitely. I'd lock up Tyron before anyone, even Dez. Tyron plays LT, a premium position, he never gets injured, he's only like 21, and he's already a star. He's one of the most valuable players in the entire NFL. We're lucky to have him. Might be able to say the same about Frederick soon.

What? Who told you that?

The guy has a quad injury that is not ok. He had to come off and get stretched twice yesterday and went into the locker room at the half early. He has lost his power in that leg.

ware hasnt been healthy all year. i remember the reports in camp of him dominating tyron and him looking like superman running down harris on a reverse, etc.. i was expecting a huge year from him but its clear he is battling too many injuries. playing with 1 gimp leg and 1 gimp arm and ongoing neck issues

Something seems off and I'm betting you are right. Hopefully we will get some news in the off season.

Now he's getting abused by Green Bay's 4th rd. rookie backup tackle. Oh how the mighty have fallen. After the Bear game he said that he accepted the challenge and needed to stand up and play better. Seriously? One tackle is all he could muster? We could have put a coat rack out there and gotten one tackle out of it.
