...and since it took me a while to find it, it's now my avatar as well.

He's been released twice in the last couple of weeks, yet he is a "monster."
Then WHY did we cut him in the 1st place and why did the Falcons cut him shortly after picking him up (which allowed us to pick him back up from the scrap heap)??? He is what he is; let's not make him into something more.....RealCowboyfan;1639535 said:I believe Remi Adoyle would provide that quickness at getting to the Quarterback, getting a push up the middle, and getting to the runningback.
This guy is a "Monster" and I believe he could help the guys around him get better by being effective game in and game out.
That's absolutely illogical! You DON'T cut a good player or risk the possibility of losing him by trying to sneak him on the PS, NOT if you think he can help you now. You FIND a spot for players like that and cut somewhere else. So what if he's the 3rd best NT on the team? As a "pure" football player, is Remi better than Justin Smith or Joe Berger or Cory Proctor or Courtney Brown or Stephen Bowen?TunaFan33;1645032 said:We wanted to keep Remi on the 53 man roster, but with Jay winning the #2 NT spot, we couldn't, so we had no choice but to put him on the PS-then Atlanta picked him up. The only reason why they cut him was 'cuz, unsurprisingly, their QB issues.
Don't get me wrong, losing Fergy is a big blow to our D-but at least we'll be having some youth in that NT position.

You mean the 2 tackles he had in against Houston? The one with 1:05 to go in the 3rd when he brought down Dayne was just AMAZING and the solo tackle with 5 minutes to go in the 4th on Cook just took my breath away
How bout the 5 against the Vikings. The way he brought down Pinner late in the 3rd, MONSTER and the 4 in the 4th in cleanup time.
He's a body who knows the system but I doubt he's the run stuffing QB sacking monster you're making him out to be. As mick whould say, "If he's so good........"

I have nothing against Remi BUT if he really was that good, he would have made the 53-man and been the #2 NT. As good as Ratliff looks at NT, he would be even better at DE. Who would you rather have starting: Ratliff or Spears / Ratliff or Canty? The fact is, we were looking for someone to step-up as the #2 NT and neither Remi, Montavious, or Olagundo(sp?) did. We went with the back-up plan (Ratliff) even though he's more suited as a DE than NT. Hope Remi gets better real soon, then we can slide Ratliff over to one of the DE spot BUT I'm not holding my breath....TunaFan33;1645072 said:For the record, I looked on Pitt's, SD's, and NE's web sites and their 53 man rosters-all of them had ONLY TWO NTs on their's. If you think we were thin at this position, just think again. With Fergy and Jay locking up the #1 and #2 NT spots, our best case scenerio was to put him on the PS.
As for ATL picking him up and cutting him, read my post again-they've been having QB issues(in case noone has been listening to the news the last couple of months), they had to pick up another one and had no choice but to cut him.
