I am embarrassed to be Cowboys fan on this board after a loss, I really am. So many Cowboys-faithful seem to become Cowboys-ruthless-critics after a tough loss that it is staggering. Everyone feels the loss, I know I did. And everyone can pick a mistake or several mistakes to magnify and determine "That cost us the game!" But the degeneration into ad-hominem attacks "He sucks- he's an idiot!" just lowers the discussion to an unfortunate level.

Whomever has played football at any level knows and understands that it is a TEAM game and that you must trust and rely on your teammates. You sink or swim together. There are SO many instances in a sixty minute game where you can point fingers...think of the missed assignments, the drops, the poor throws, a play call...but it is the height of unfairness to pick one mistake and lay the blame for the ENTIRE game upon it. Worse yet, to begin trashing any part of your team for the loss....just unfortunate.

We have talent; we will bounce back. Losing to JAX and PHI on the road in games we stayed in until the end offers much hope for this year, regardless of who QBs the offense. True fans should keep their heads up and disregard the naysayers.

My head was never down. I just want to see a fresh injection of testosterone at the QB position. Romo needs to start now.

Seriously.

Damn fans. Being upset after a tough road loss where your team played like garbage and they had a chance to win, even though they played like garbage. I can't believe that attitude.

SP, my point is that being upset for your team playing like "garbage" does not have to be expressed with negative epithets thrown at the players/coaches/team...from FANS, no less...

The silver lining is that Bledslug was run out of NE and BUF. He is now showing us exactly why he was run. He cannot win the big game. He cannot even do something as simple as throwing the ball away to avoid a sack. He cannot continue to stand back there and look statuesque. It's killing the team slowly but surely. With the young talent we have the framework is there to have a very solid season. An inconsistent qb does wonders to destroy the team confidence. Call me chicken little if you'd like. That's cool. I would simply like to see the season salvaged before it gets too out of hand. Bledsoe is not going to lead us to the promise land.

Answer this question for me. Would you like to go into the draft knowing what we have in Romo or would you prefer to go into the draft guessing at what we have at that position? I, personally, would like to know without a doubt whether a qb should be taken high or not. Bledsoe will not be around next season and we need to know what we have in Romo.

It's only natural. Like the sun rising. There were a few players in particular that really, really deserved it.

Great question. I already think we "know" what Romo is- a solid NFL 2nd QB. Can he become a solid starter? Maybe. Does drafting a QB high guarantee anything? If recent results (last ten years) indicate anything, its that a QB drafted in the first round will likely fail unless named Manning...So should we throw Romo in to start? Not in my opinion. I still believe (and I think BP does too) that benching Bledsoe to start Romo absent an injury sends multiple negative signals. For one, it says that the line cannot pass block sufficiently for Bledsoe when blitzed or pressured (I don't think BP makes that concession). Second, it says that Bledsoe is not getting it done, which is not accurate over the course of four games this year (who called for his benching after WAS or TEN?) I trust BP (and may be in the minority) and believe that if Bledsoe goes down to injury, Romo steps in. Otherwise, Bledsoe is the QB for the year. Now, next year maybe Bledsoe retires or BP brings in another QB for competition (which, knowing BP, I think is more likely than drafting a QB high to start as a rookie). If Romo wins the job outright next year, then it is his....and I would not discount that as a likely scenario.
