Replace Linehan, Hurns and Jarwin with or very good options and I can see us competing at the highest levels.

With the way this defense is playing and the way Adam looks when you open up the game for him. I didn’t necessarily think that with much conviction before this last game. But the throwback to 2016 Dak gave me hopes that this could work with a consistently brilliant mind at the helm.

who is Adam?

Sadly, easier said than done.

TE draft class looks good for 19.
WR class has a few, but expecting a rookie WR or TE to contribute right away is a risk.

Free agency for WR is loaded with #2's at best.
Cobb and Tate lead the way, but both are 30 or close to it.
I guess a flier on Enuwa, Humphries, Ty Williams or Dorsett wouldn't be bad for better depth.
De'Anthony Thomas could be our scat back/quick WR if they let Austin walk

TE class looks barren, minus any surprise cuts.

Everything you said is why I would at least see if Raiders will take a 3rd for Cooper. Like you said, even picking A WR in first doesn't guarantee anything.

I think Dak is really missing Witten. He was like a big security blanket for our QBs. I think getting a big time receiving TE would be huge.

I think if we end up close to .500 you will get your wish on Linehan. If we completely fall apart, I think the whole staff is gone. If we go to the playoffs the staff stays, unless Rod retires.

Tate is the only guy who would give this offense something different, and I'd absolutely pull the trigger (depending on price, of course).

So trades are that easy in the NFL? OC's just hang out waiting to get hired? Nothing is going to make this season better by addition at this point. We are riding what we got.
