I think this player would be a good Strong-Side DE. I think that he will get drafted around the 3rd round. He does not have the speed/burst that you would look for in a Weak-Side DE, but compares favorably to some Strong-Side DEs. I'm sure his burst is at least as good as Seattle's SDE Red Bryant and probably as good as Chicago's SDE Corey Wooton.

I liked my guy better not knocking your guy

Walter Stewart, DE,/OLB, Cinn 6- 4 #250

The NFL loves speedy pass rushers, and with Stewart they may have another burgeoning young star to evaluate

Stewart signed with Cincinnati as a 216 pound linebacker and emerged as a standout at both outside positions as a redshirt freshman, registering 59 tackles, including 8.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks as a redshirt freshman.

As Stewart added weight, however, head coach Butch Jones and his staff elected to move him to defensive end a year ago and the results were impressive. Despite it being his first season at the position, Stewart finished second only to Wolfe in sacks (with six), while also registering 44 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and led the Bearcats with four forced fumbles.

Perhaps most intriguing about Stewart is the fact that he's not only fast off the edge, the instincts he developed while at linebacker came through at defensive end ? where he finished among the country's leaders among front seven defenders with eight passes broken up. Highly regarded by the coaching staff due to his athletic talents, as well as his willingness to change positions and leadership

I like Walter Stewart too but 3rd round may be too early for a guy who might have a degenerative spine condition. He has a great story though.

Another guy I like is Missouri Western's David Bass (6-4 265 4.6) who is bigger, stronger and more productive. Because of his small school background, he should be available later than the 3rd (4th maybe 5th).

01/18/2013 - 2013 SHRINE GAME PRACTICE RISERS: 7. DE David Bass, Missouri Western State (6036, 263 -- East Team)...Bass dominated the Division-II ranks, bringing a productive resume to the NFL with 56 tackles for loss and 39.5 sacks over his career. And playing next to FBS-prospects in St. Pete's, he didn't look out of place with the quickness and hand strength to defeat blocks and find his way to the ballcarrier. Bass has room to refine his pass rush moves to be more effective, but he flashed in practice why he was able to be so productive in college. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com

He's been a huge disappointment at Clemson. Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

That's what I see in some scouting reports, but not what I saw in the games that I watched.

Stewart would be a Weak-Side DE in Kiffin's scheme.

NFLDS has Stewart listed as "Retiring from Back/Spine injury".

I would prefer Goodman and Bass over a 1st rounder at the position (need OL in the 1st).

ill take crawford over both
I like Crawford at the position and expect him to be the starter if Spencer is not re-signed. He has the added bonus of being able to play the 3-tech.

Goodman had a nice Bowl game, other than that not much out of him.
