Replacing the Hotel

not choosing one over the other - but if we can get Davis - I say go for Fox or Brown

Anthony Davis*, Rutgers Height: 6-6. Weight: 335 Jr
Jason Fox, Miami Height: 6-6. Weight: 302
Charles Brown, USC Height: 6-6. Weight: 296
Bryan Bulaga*, Iowa Height: 6-6. Weight: 305. Jr
Ciron Black, LSU Height: 6-5. Weight: 315
Russell Okung, Oklahoma State Height: 6-5. Weight: 300
Gabe Carimi*, Wisconsin Height: 6-8. Weight: 300
Matt Reynolds*, BYU Height: 6-6. Weight: 320.
Trent Williams, Oklahoma - Height: 6-5. Weight: 310.

might need a couple years out of these guys
OT TONY WASHINGTON, ABILENE CHRISTIAN HEIGHT: 6’6 WEIGHT: 300
UT transfer - POSITIVES: Highly athletic player with a mean streak. Has high upside

OT Jared Veldheer, Hillsdale (6-8, 321)
Veldheer looks like a star at Division-II Hillsdale College in Michigan. He’s a 6-8, 321-pound tackle who not only has the power to consistently destroy defenders in the run game, he also showcases impressive athletic ability and is said to run a sub-4.9 40. There aren’t too many offensive tackles at any level with this kid’s combination of size and speed, and he’s got enough upside to intrigue the scouting community

I would love to pick both Davis an Iupati

I mean draft them two an our O line will be fine for a couple of years

Traditionally, Pro-Bowl LTs are taken in the top-5 picks of the first round. We might get by in a deep class with a top-10 pick but after that it gets pretty slim.

When it comes time to replace Flozell we will need to trade up for the right guy. Trying to get one cheap is a stupid move and jeopardizes the entire team.

Sometimes you can luck out (Adams, Allen, and a few others were selected outside the 1st round) but I would rather do the smart thing and get a top player for that position.

I'd rather not gut our draft for a LT.

You forget to mention that Tuinei was an undrafted FA defensive lineman.

That's what? 20 years worth of good to excellent LT play from non-1st rounders?

I hope we can finally find some good OL in the draft. Obviously, they are cheaper and younger than signing FAs. Maybe Brewster can be a decent RT or LT, but I am worried about the age and expense of our current line.

BP might have been good at drafting DLinemen, but his track record at drafting OL hear was pathetic. That is what got us into this mess. Flozell & Gurode wre both drafted b4 he was here.

I'm hoping we go left tackle in the first, since that's a position you really can't skimp on.

Unfortunatley, with this team's history with drafting offensive linemen, I'm afraid we're going to try to coax another year out of Adams and then see what we have in Free.

This guy is gonna be a monster at the next level.

Anthony Davis T, Rutgers

Yep, I think Davis would be a great fit at LT for us.
