mods I know this belongs in the Draft zone..However, I want to put this in the Fan Zone because Dallas has shown some interest in Bryant and it appears there may be a chance that he is available come our pick in the 1st rd..

More than 10 teams have removed Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant from their draft boards, according to Profootballtalk.com.

One team is Seattle, which is a head-scratcher considering their public interest in Brandon Marshall. Bryant has compared his situation to that of Randy Moss coming into the league, and teams are starting to apply the same red flags. The major concern is that Bryant may not show up for practices once he gets paid, though the "diva clause" used in Michael Crabtree's contract could also be applied to Bryant. It only takes one team to make Bryant an early first-round pick. Apr. 13 - 9:24 pm et

everyone is over imploding in the other thread, it may be a while.

can he return kicks?

if he is good at it then sure, draft him at 27 if he is there.

Otherwise, we don't need anymore receivers.

wrong answer..terrible answer at that

Jerry sucks and is a drunken buffoon, if he drafts Bryant that will only solidify his place as the village idiot of owners.

you like that one better?

If he were to fall to 27 i'd take him! Remember the last time we passed on a big talented WR (randy moss) we still regret that. He could contribute a little this year and then next season take over for RW. Its all good!

lol..I am just saying, if dallas has Dez ranked as a top 5 talent and he falls to 27..you dont pick someone else because he doesnt return kicks

If Bryant falls to 27 and Jerry doesn't draft him, then he would have solidified his self as the village idiot.

If Dez Bryant, Taylor Mays, and Bruce Campbell are the 3 best names at 27 I take Bryant so fast heads would spin.

If Dez Bryant is on the board at 27, I am taking him over anyone (being realisic, no Suhs, Berry etc) outside of ET

Is this another moment where you're intending to be funny?

no I am funny when I want to be, not my fault people like you have decided I am an idiot and read my posts wrong.

there is an irony there that you won't ever understand too.

However, we are set at WR, there is no way the best WR on the board makes us a better team than the 2nd or 3rd LT or 2nd or 3rd FS would right now and down the road.

Austin is as good or better than bryant would be when he got here, Roy is a talent, whether or not he shows it this year is up to him. Crayton is solid, and so is hurd for that matter. Ogletree is an unknown with massive upside.

Unless Dez can return the hell out of a kick, there is no way we need him on this team.

It's pretty F'ing hypocritical of you to blast jerry for his drunken antics and then play dumb about how that effects our draft.

jerry doesn't do that and then draft dez freaking bryant.

Okay, I just wanted to be sure as to whether you were joking about spending a first round pick on a kick returner, but not doing so on a wide receiver.

I'd be more interested in knowing the specifics as to why he is off those 10 boards exactly. Prolly the fear of what might happen when he gets his hands on those millions. Dont know about any Diva clause. Giants got ruling against Burress having to return portion of his signing bonus, doubt they see any of it.

The thing is though he can return kicks and did it his soph year and was quite good. Not to mention he was one of the best PR in college football his soph year. You don't pass on a top 5 talent just because he doesn't return kicks like you said. ( even though he can)

This team can absolute use Dez Bryant..and i mean as a WR..I couldnt care less about his abilities as a return man

how much more productive do you need the offense to be?

seriously?

We are good enough to win a superbowl at WR. So you don't burn a first rounder on one, unless he can fill a need right now. We need a returner. Otherwise he gets bumped for a lesser player that can help the team win now.

This is the season, Bryant the WR doesn't win us jack all. He gets stats that some other receiver we already have would get otherwise.
