Report: Carrie Underwood, Tony Romo engagement may be coming

By Christopher Rocchio, 06/12/2007

Last month, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo reportedly wanted a timeout from his romantic relationship with fourth-season American Idol champ Carrie Underwood -- but now, he's reportedly called an audible and reversed course.

"Carrie would love to marry Tony," a so-called "insider" recently told In Touch Weekly. "They've been talking about getting engaged and it's probably going to be soon."

Speculation as to why Underwood has potential wedding bells ringing in her head reportedly stems from that fact that she took the time to try on "several wedding gowns" when she was deciding on what to wear to last month's Academy of Country Music Awards, during which she was honored as top female vocalist; saw her debut album "Some Hearts" take home album of the year; and was also awarded with video of the year for "Before He Cheats."

The two-time Grammy winner and up-and-coming NFL star began dating in late December, when Romo officially confirmed they were together after they were seen hugging and laughing on the field at Texas Stadium on Christmas Day before the Cowboys' game against the Philadelphia Eagles. However the couple apparently split soon after, as Romo told reporters during a pre-Super Bowl press conference, "She's a very nice, sweet girl, I care for her and whoever ends up with her will be a very lucky guy."

Around the same time, Underwood and British singer Oliver Trevena were reportedly dating after being spotted hugging and kissing after driving to the Los Angeles airport, where Underwood caught a flight. Then in late April, Underwood helped Romo celebrate his 27th birthday in Dallas, and the two reportedly looked "cozy" together as they sang some duets at the bash and frequently snuck-off to a private VIP section.

While it looked like Romo was back in Underwood's game plan to find Mr. Right -- he was her date at the 42nd Annual ACM Awards -- he reportedly requested a break from their relationship during the entire five-month NFL season to concentrate on his career.

Their relationship seems to be as consistent as the Cowboys post Thanksgiving play.

if people would put as much focus on their own lives as they do on people who happen to be on TV i wonder what the world would be like.

I don't really like to talk too much about players personal lives either, but reality is, a great deal of the forum this offseason has been about just that and for negative stuff at that, with Tank, Pacman, Henry, Vick, and Romo too for stuff that's not negative. It's what a large part of it's (forum or forums) become. Some of it's the media and most of it's the outlaws who do just that, being outlaws. And everyone's got an opinion about these events too.

i need to go find me 4 hookers in at least 2 different races (but all female), 3 large pickles, 6 pounds of goose feathers, one buckskin glove, 18' of trapeze wire, 38 sq yards of multi-colored latex and a tomato and get out of this funk.

Looks as if you've put some thought into your remedy, and I'll comment no further!!

I would suggest adding the following items to your list ;

One large bear rug (it can be a faux fur rug)
12 cans of whip cream
A box of depends adult diapers
1 Volley ball (has to be the WILSON brand)
A Horn of Plenty full of fruits and vegetables.
3 bottles of avon's Skin So Soft lotion to keep the flies and mosquitoes away.
A sock full of nickles.
And last but not least 1 dozen rolls of Duct Tape
