What are the chances Prescott succeeds with the 9ers personnel and coaching? I'm saying slim.

Well Dak did take his Miss St team to the #1 ranking, a team with not much talent (so I've read). Not saying he would have been great, but maybe he would have had some success in making their offense somewhat more effective.

I don't see Dak doing well in that offense. I'm sure chip will have a bunch of college programs knocking on his door, be curious where he goes, he's done in the NFL though

It's what you say when you are fired. It's what you do.

$50 million for nothing.

My brother in law told me that David Campo wanted to draft Tom Brady in 2000 and even took off his pants in the War Room to get it done but was overruled. They had to tackle him in the hallway nude before he made it out to the general public. True story

Campo did that for all his draft picks. :D

Exactly. We are going to read dozens of coaches or scouts say "I wanted Dak all along but _______ in the front office just wouldn't listen to me".

This the first of many, many articles like this.
Just like we hear a lot of fans say, "I knew Elliott was a great choice at pick number 4!"

Complete revisionist history BS.

This tale just goes to show what a huge difference it can make when just one potential draft pick isn't acted upon.

If Trent Baalke hadn't refused to pay heed to Chip Kelly's request to draft Dak, they might both be employed now.

Anyway, who knows for sure? Perhaps the whole tale is merely a convoluted story that was conceived deceitfully.

Irrelevant. Dak wouldn't have had anywhere near the success in San Francisco that he had here in Dallas. Dak would have been a JAG during his rookie year any place else. He ran into the perfect storm with this OL, RB, and receiving cast.

There's NO way you can prove that so it's totally irrelevant.

He probably wanted Dak so he can trade Kap and have Dak on the bench.

Wouldn't mattered on the 49ers season.
