Question admittedly undeserving of its own thread, so I ask it here...

Ya know.... just two years ago, Selvie (now 29) and Hayden (now 30) were starters.

Say we lose a DE for the playoffs (not exactly an obscure possibility given Jerry's post-game remark).

Would you give one or both free agents a tryout for that opened roster slot?

He is a body to give our guys a breather and keep their legs fresh at the end of games. If Marinelli finds a way to have him help the team, I'm sold. Not everyone on a team has to be a person who could hold a 1st string spot. On any Superbowl winning team there are many guys just playing a small but important role.
They see something in him for the present or even perhaps the future, that's fine. I also understand your not going to find pro bowlers on the waiver wire at this time of the year. Who knows, he could turn into another David Irving under the right situation. We'll see.

Talk about waking up and winning the lottery. From a 3-12 squad to a 13-2 one that is playing for all the marbles. Not a bad 53 man roster to get on, if you can find the work.

Scott Galbraith was signed after the last regular season game in 92, and joined the Cowboys on their first SB run and got a ring. He agreed to sign for only the playoff money he would get per game.

The Dallas Cowboys are bringing in defensive reinforcements just ahead of the playoffs.

On Wednesday, it's being reported the team has now signed defensive tackle Richard Ash from the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad, a move that shores up their ailing defensive line.

To make room for the addition of defensive end Randy Gregory, the team released defensive tackle Zach Moore who was claimed off waivers by the San Francisco 49ers. The Cowboys had hoped Moore would land back on the practice squad where he sat prior to December, but it didn't happen.

Ash was signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2015 out of Western Michigan and spent time on and off of the team's practice squad and active roster before now being picked up by the Cowboys.
