Bush, Colston, and B Graham have come back to have decent careers after this type of surgery. Doubt he will ever be great now, but average is still possible.

No one ripping the GM for this idiotic pick?:)
I guess the Texans have a 'real, bona-fide' GM with all the credentials. With the top pick in each round and 10 overall picks, check out this bounty of picks:

1. Jadeveon Clowney (OLB--South Carolina)
2. Xavier Su'a-Filo (OG--UCLA)
3. C.J. Fiedorowicz (TE--Iowa)
3. Louis Nix (NT--Notre Dame)
4. Tom Savage (QB--Pittsburgh)
6. Jeoffrey Pagan (DE--Alabama)
6. Alfred Blue (RB--LSU)
6. Jay Prosch (FB--Auburn)
7. Andre Hal
7. Lonnie Ballentine

Can you imagine the ridicule Jerry would have taken had he chosen those players? No joke, I wouldn't trade Zach Martin for that whole draft. I wouldn't trade DeMarcus Lawrence for that whole draft. Heck, I don't think there is a player on that list better than Anthony Hitchens. :muttley:

Amazingly Colston has had the procedure done to both of his knees during his career.

First time they had the No.1 pick they got a DE and let him walk after his rookie contract, wasted Foster and Johnson's careers as a result of not having a quality QB, made the exact same mistake with this guy. I hear they tried to trade down, but I'm not sure I believe it. How could drafting Manziel have hurt the team? Even if he busted out of the league their profile would have hit Tebowmania level must watch TV. Watt is the only interesting thing about that team.

If Dallas had the #1 pick, they would have taken him as well. I bet most teams would have.

Not if your starting quarterback is Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Bortles was sitting right there. All that talent, and Houston will go nowhere until they get a QB.

Dude was unblockable and outplaying JJ Watt as a rookie. This is a shame.

They wanted Bridgewater. But Minnesota beat them to the pick by 1 spot. They thought they could get Clowney with the first pick and then their first pick of the 2nd round but it didn't work out. So they were stuck with Fitzpatrick, who is terrible.

I just don't see Clowney as a game changer at all that warrants a #1 pick. He made his name off one single play in a bowl game where the lineman forgot to block and he came in untouched and destroyed the RB. He parlayed that next season to pretty much dictating when and how often he played. He took many plays off on the field and took himself off the field constantly. He'd disappear for quarters at a time.

Texans are going to get burned by this guy.

*Blinks*

Ummmm....is this serious?

The guy played in 4 games...he had 7 tackles, no sacks.

So when exactly was he unblockable and outplaying JJ Watt?

Week 1 vs Commanders....

Clowney 1 tackle
JJ Watt 3 tackles, 1 Sack, 1 Pass Def

Week 8 vs Titans.....

Clowney 1 tackle
JJ Watt 3 Tackles, 2 sacks, 1 Pass Def

Week 11 vs Browns....

Clowney 2 tackles
JJ Watt 5 Tackles, 1 Sack

Week 12 vs Bengals.....

Clowney 3 tackles
JJ Watt 7 tackles

So...I'm really confused....when did Clowney ever out play JJ Watt?

And if your intention was he did more a rookie then JJ Watt did...that would still be inaccurate. JJ Watt's first 4 games of his rookie year he had 14 tackles and 1 sack. So he still out played him even then.

Jay Cutler was the only QB that turned out to be decent in that 2006 when Houston drafted Mario Williams.

I'm only guessing but I imagine in Houston their fans rip on whoever their GM is.
