According to OverTheCap.com, the Raiders have the second-most available cap space at $57.4 million. Jacksonville, which has a league-high $68.5 million in space, also is prepared to make a run at Cobb, a source said, though the source wasn’t sure of the specifics.
Those 2 teams are going to drastically change the talent level of their rosters if they play their cards right.

They could definitely improve. There are 32 teams competing for these FA though. Even getting 2 big names for each team wouldn't put a dent in their cap space.

That's a lot for a number 2 guy. I don't believe he will succeed as a number 1

I'm not surprised. They believe they've found their QB (As do I) and so now they need to get him some weapons.

They will be in a position to draft a putative #1. Cobb as your #2. Latavius Murray and another back. Suddenly you have a nice squad.

I think the Packers were pretty happy with how the rookie, Devante Adams, was progressing.

Let's see...Jordy Nelson paired with
DeVante Adams at 600k + 10+ million more to spend?
or
Randal Cobb at 11 million/ yr

They may match the offer, but you can see why they wouldn't too.

Yes, but raiders always seem to over-draft some speed reciever that busts.

Before his passing away, Al Davis was getting pretty senile.

Although they seem to be overpaying to some degree here, the Raiders have actually been making some pretty solid moves in the last year or two.

Drafting Khalil Mack and Derek Carr, Gabe Jackson, and Justin Ellis last year was really impressive.

Funny how everything reported in CA is raiders are going to go hard after SUH and a TE and draft a WR with the 5 pick.

They need more than 1 WR so drafting one at 5 doesn't exclude a big fa WR

Also being Reported Raiders really like what Andre Holmes did for them. He is going to be resigned and will be their #2

So Andre Holmes is going to stop them from going after Cobb? Im skeptical of that.

NO them trying to shore up their Defense is. Like it or not thats whats being reported. Be a Skeptic all you want. I dont really care im not a Raiders fan. I just know whats being talked about because I live in the Raiders region and they kinda dominate all the sports reports around these parts.

Living in AFC West country we got several Raider games this year and on more than one occasion I wish he was still wearing a star. One game I mentioned to my 8 year old that he was a former Cowboy and his response? "Why did the Cowboys cut him? He's lighting it up!"
