Report: Saints want a second-round pick to part with Sean Payton

I've heard two of the teams currently in the mix are the Eagles and Giants. Jerry is out of his mind, if that's all he has to give up.

It would be criminal for Jerry to allow Payton to go to either of those destinations.

Payton is apparently staying in New Orleans. This sets up beautifully for Jerry in a year or two to grab him when Garrett inevitably fails. (Barring a NO extension) And it keeps him away from PHI & NYG. Great news! This off season is going to be a lot easier to take now. (For me at least)

I agree 100%! I really wanted Payton so the fact he's staying and New York and Philly can't have him makes Garrett not being fired less hard to swallow.

hmmm....I know Sean would be terrific, but a 2nd rounder....tough pill to swallow...you still do it, but this 2nd pick is #34...why not # 67? that's only 4 higher than the SB champion's 2nd rounder?
