Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was reportedly a problem within Detroit’s locker room last season, and getting Suh under control may be among the biggest tasks for new head coach Jim Caldwell.

Heath Evans, the former NFL fullback turned FOX analyst, says three players on the Lions told him when he was working Lions games last season that Suh was a major headache.

“The consistent message that came out of there is that Suh was uncontrollable and that he would constantly do things to kind of show his power over Jim Schwartz, whether it was team meetings, showing up late, or whatever it may be,” Evans told of 105.1 FM, via the Detroit Free Press. “When you don’t put players in line, I don’t care how great they are.”

Schwartz sucked as head coach? Not exactly a shock.

Suh was elected one of the team captains. That position is voted on by the players so his teammates do in fact like him. I'm thinking it's more that they must have really low standards for leadership.

LOL! Yah, being in this locker room would straighten him right out.

Don't think it would at all lol but he's a top 3 DT in the league, we desperately need a DT. Bringing him in would improve the play of Spencer, Ware, Selvie, our LBs and our secondary instantly. Very few "silver bullets" exist, especially in football but I'd argue that adding Suh (or a player of similar stature at the position, like McCoy) would act as a silver bullet. Maybe not propelling us to even a top 10 defense, but top 16 yes. With our offense a top 16 defense is enough to mount a run, although it may end as Denver's did.

If you added Suh and drafted a top-flight safety to go along with a healthy Church, with Wilcox filling in during the inevitable injury I could see us being a top 10 defense. Doesn't seem out of the question, although adding Suh likely is.

I'm disappointed in Suh. I watched him play in college and didn't appear to be such a head case. I agree he could make a huge impact on our defense, but it's doubtful he'll get over his ways.

Maybe they are scared of him.
