What could we realistically expect for Carpenter, a second-day pick? Is that even worth it?

I think interest in Carpenter might surprise us. He's not an inside lber...he's an outside backer, not an every down pass rusher. I think others would look at our 3-4 and understand why Carpenter can't get on the field ahead of Ware, Ellis, and Spencer. If we were in a 4-3, I think only Ware would get on the field ahead of Carpenter at OLB.

I think some 4-3 teams who may have been interested before would also be interested now because they know the guy can play ST, and they have enough information on him...getting Carp now could mean not spending a 3rd or 4th round pick on a LB who may never make the team.
