I’m not fond of my high school, and there is one back up qb in the nfl who went there. I graduated and he came in as a freshman.

I think the only pro player to go to my high school was Ellis Burks. Of course; he had nine years on me, so I never met him.

That said, he was a 1st round pick (20th overall) by the Boston Red Sox in 1983.

It was known as "Our Redeemer Lutheran High School" when I went there. It was right across the street from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Sadly, my high school has since closed down.

The envy is strong with me, @Reverend Conehead. I can't imagine living on an island. I would love to though.

I'm with you. I hated Woodlawn but Byrd was three stories high with a basement. Someone had a cruel sense of humor and would send us every day from the basement to the third floor at least once a day.

It definitely had its pluses. Beautiful place, great weather, fun stuff to do. On the cons, it was insanely expensive and you could not drive to another state or even to another island.
