Not good news, I had him as a PS guy. But if serious knee injury, IR him, I think he was more than a camp body.
Probably won't be any decisions for a week though. Hopefully just a sprain at worst.

Very unfortunate.

If it's something like an ACL tear, Reshod Fortenberry will be waived/injured.

Once Fortenberry clears waivers, his rights will revert to the Cowboys and he will be placed on injured reserve. If the team has no long term interest, an injury settlement will be reached.

Given the positive mentions on Fortenberry over the off-season, he will probably be kept and back on the field next year.

supposedly the kid was impressing the coaches. But no matter what he was facing a real uphill climb to make the practice roster let alone anything more. With Green and Weems and possibly Collins ahead of him. This actually MIGHT be a good thing for him if he goes IR. Gets a whole year to recover and learn and get stronger.

Yeah, if he's a really quick healer, his ACL might be ok to go by Tuesday.

Hopefully, it's just a bad sprain and they carried him off as a precaution. Surely, we'll see more on this later.

That's just what I was thinking. Reports are he was doing good things and the team liked him. A 'medical redshirt' year might not be the worst thing for him. You never want to see anyone injured, but a young guy with potential like him might bounce back well.

But, for now, let's hope it's a sprain and not a tear.

Is it just me or does the, "carting a guy off" scenario shown in the picture look a little Stone Age? You'd think they could make it a bit more comfortable than the wood slab they lay the sod strips on. Doesn't exude too much compassion or concern on behalf of the Cowboys. Maybe he's just too big for a comfy cart? :D
