Resiliency

This team is growing stronger together this season.

Vs SF we played like a team destined for a double digit loss season and they responded going on a 6 game win streak.

Vs NO and Chicago we flipped the script from last season and dominated both teams this season.

Vs STL we overcame a 21-0 deficit to win in their house which Manning failed to do.

Vs Seattle we went to the 12th man and made that our house (fans chanting for us at the end) after trailing 10-0. Manning and Rodgers both failed to do that.

Vs NY, it appeared they were going to run away with that game and we came back to win.

Vs Phi, after getting it handed to us on Turkey day we bounced back and showed our will on National TV in their house. After 24-21 score most probably thought it was over and our boys responded to win.

The team is 3-0 on SNF, I can't recall the last time we were this succesful on the national spotlight.

I know this season has been an emotional roller coaster, but one thing I can come away with when all is said and done is this team has shown a level of resiliency like I've never seen in season's past. This leads me to believe we will not only make the playoffs, but we will be making some noise..

Thoughts???

We need to stop panicking when the team starts slow, falls behind early, or goes through a rough patch. They don't quit and neither should we...

I agree for the most part, though lately on this forum I think the idea that this team has fight in them that we haven't seen in previous years is a bit exaggerated. I've seen much more fight than quit in the face of adversity from this team already last year and before. To Garrett's credit. (And I think Romo's will to keep at it has shaped the team in this regard too.)
I've heard multiple times, when the Eagles took the lead at 24-21, that previous incarnations of the team would've given up, but I don't think that's true. They might have screwed up, or just been short of healthy talent, but they wouldn't have given up, IMO.

I'm with you, I may be seeing things but ever since Garrett took over, I felt like the team has showed heart and fight in virtually every game (only a few exceptions).

We've always fought hard under Garrett. We just couldn't stop anybody.

Garrett's RKG mantra has taken root, we fight to the bitter end every time and have been for a few years now...

The defense is much maligned, but they are the difference in a lot of ways. Last year's revolving door with guys off the street contributed to them being the worst in the league. This year they've lost Lee and Durant but the linebackers still make plays. They are relatively healthy and although they are average at best, they have a penchant for making plays when needed the most. We all know the offense is elite (and appears to be getting better), but let's give the defense some love.

Oh, and nice to see all the Garrett props.

The defense has made critical plays for us. I know work still has to be done and when we do address the Dline in the offseason we will see more of this season's success carry over to future years.

Tony Romo and the offensive line are the main reasons why Dallas is having a successful season. The previous seasons the team was 8-8 because of Romo. Our QB really never had help until now.

Stephen Jones and Jason realize investing in the trenches (oline) would assist Romo on this season. It has come to past.

I'm excited for the post season but I'm also looking forward to the front office adding another olineman in the draft and building the front seven next off season.

If those things occur next offseason this team will be a 12-13 game winner and difficult for teams to beat next year.

The talent may be lacking on defense but leadership, in my opinion, is not. Maybe Ware and Hatch were natural leaders and everyone else just went along. This season guys (Scandrick, McClain, Mincey) have had to step up and the entire defense has responded.

Mincey mentioned that there was an attitude going into the off-season that the defensive players, as a unit, were going to work harder than everyone else. I think they are showing the results. Surround these guys with blue-chip talent and they could be very good.

That is easier said than done.

And yes, I'm gonna go all retrospective and complain about this teams past history.

A couple decades worth. That's tough.

16 games does not fix that for me.

I will say this thread is dead nuts on and I love having Cowboy football back, Jack.

10-4. Division leaders. It wasn't handed to Dallas...............they took it.
