I think ODawg said it best in a response to CoCo's "We are what our record says" thread. Now we get to see how this team responds to an *** whipping.

This is Garrett's and Ryan's first major beat down. Good teams get angry at such losses and go all in with everything they got. They take the next opponent, whoever it may be and take them behind the woodshed.

Now we'll get to see how Garrett and Ryan prepare this team to respond in the second half of the season. This is the time where teams begin to seperate themselves. It's going to be interesting.

Seahawks and Bills at home. Nov. 20th at the Skins. Thanksgiving vs. the Dolphins. Away vs. the Cards. It's time to ball!

Eh. The opponent this week will make a big response less impressive.

If they live up the the "hype" no reason why they shouldn't win these next 5.

No matter. The point is this team needs to destroy the Seabirds just to prove they can bounce back from a beat down.

This game will be Garrett's biggest test since the Green Bay game last season. They have to respond in a big way or we really can start to question the chemistry of this team.

It's only matters if you don't do it again. This team lays eggs far too often to believe it has the mental capacity to learn something from it.

Rams just beat the Saints this is the NFL there are no give me games I would have thought some of you learned this by now. If Dallas goes out and plays poorly the Seahawks can win. Dallas has to play well if they expect to win this or any other game.

There are no gimmie games in the NFL but beating down Seattle at home isn't a big statement.

This is like the Rams game two weeks ago. We should win comfortably. And it won't impress me in the slightest.

But they'll make a small response more depressive!

winning is the only statement that needs to be made I don't care who you play.

They don't need to impress you or any of us. They need to prove to themselves and their coach that they can refocus and move forward in a positive manner after being totally embarrassed.

I'm with ya...lets win 5-6 in a row and stop underachieving...the play calling has got to get better on offense....we need a more vertical scheme. we have dez and miles for crying out loud.

But that's the thing. I don't know what you prove beating Seattle at home.

If you want to pretend it means something, have at it. To me, it means nothing and won't prove anything about whether this team has righted their ship and are about to play their best football.

They responded against the Rams. Took them apart at home after two bad losses. It meant jack and squat the next week when Philly bent them over the table.

Maybe we responded against the Rams because it was the Rams. And maybe we'll respond this week against the Seahawks because they're the Seahawks. That's my point.

It would be nice that's for sure, but what evidence is there to suggest it's possible?

Understood but try looking at it from the Eagles' perspective. Do you think they are feeling pretty good about beating a 3-3 team at home coming off their bye? I would think yes even if they were well rested, had their backs to the wall, and needed to salvage their season at all cost.

Beating any team right now would be a positive step. It just happens to be Seattle.

Evidently not for some. If you watch games around the NFL there are major upsets taking place almost every weekend. I learned a long time ago not to take any game for granted.

By the "next opponents being easy" logic, we should have trounced the Eagles.

It's hard to get all excited about this team going out and beating non-division teams they are supposed to beat easily, especially when we know it really isn't leading anywhere. Jerry took the lead out of this team's pencil before the season began, so the best we can look forward to is beating our rivals and second-tier teams on our level.

Well said, I think that everybody hoped that we'd catch lightning in the bottle with new coaches, but our team was neutered by a decision to not add any net FA talent this off-season. That being said, I will be happy to see us play well this week after one of the most lopsided defeats I've ever seen.
