------------------------------------

LSU running back Trindon Holliday entered today looking to break the record of 4.24 seconds in the 40-yard dash that was set by current Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson.

Holliday is a 5-foot-5 track star with blazing speed who has run the 100-meter dash in 10 seconds flat, and he says that his “goal is to run a 4.23.”

While Holliday is looking to break the record, he doesn’t view his time as a competition. He just wants to put the best version of himself on display for the NFL scouts.

“It’s not really a competition,” Holliday said. “I just want to come out and run as fast as I can. But I am going to try to.”

In his first attempt at the 40, Holliday got an unofficial time of 4.27. You could see he is a very efficient runner, Holliday needs to find a way to transfer that speed to pad speed.

Holliday recorded an unofficial time of 4.32 seconds in his second attempt, falling short of Johnson’s record.

The fast time will not vault Holliday up draft boards drastically, but his speed will convince one team to overlook his size and take a chance on him.

Holliday could be a valuable asset in special teams and is looked at by many NFL scouts as strictly a return specialist.

He's a midget, but he can fly.

Would not mind seeing him become the Cowboys primary returner.

I wouldn't either.
Spend a mid rounder (5th or 6th-preferably a 6th obviously) on him.
On offense, let him run some WR screens and we're golden.

He has to be my top UDFA but I'm not so sure he will not be taken. I would have no problem spending a the guy. I cant remember the last time Dallas had a dynamic return guy sinse K-Mart.

Forget about it. Al Davis will select him with Oakland's first round pick. They will have the NFL track championship locked up.

He is crazy fast. He will make a team somewhere as an occasional third down back and as a return specialist. Insane speed.

later he ran a 4.32 like dc said, but came back ran a 4.25

- Trindon Holliday broke the 4.3 barrier just minutes ago with a pair of 4.25 attempts.

Yeah, when you are that small the pads are too so it doesn't slow you down much.

He's a less thick Darren Sproles who will be a very dynamic returner.

Those small guys are hard to find.

Nice time. I wonder if someone will best Chris Johnson's 4.24 this year. I think there two guys with the potential..and Holliday was one of them.

I'm not saying he's a great player, but he is fast.

Davis is already on the phone (cause he doesn't think cell phones will "catch on") with the Rams to move up to #1 for him
