Here's a look at the top Punt returners in this years draft.
Rank = #1 in country
RB Maurice Drew - 5'8 (200) 4.35 40 - has some meat on his bones
Had 3 punt returns for TD's, 15 returns for a whopping 28.47 yards per return.
Rank = #4 in country
WR Willie Reid - 5'10 (186) 4.45 40
Had 3 punt returns for touchdowns, and averaged 17.45 ypg.
Rank = #8 in country
WR Corey Rogers - 6'1 (195) no official time
2005: 52 catches for 685 yards with 5 TD's. Rushed 11 times for 41 yards with 5 TD's. Also returned 19 punts for an average of 15.3 yards, and 17 kickoffs for an average of 30.3 yards with 2 TD's
Rank = #11 in country
WR Brandon Williams - 5'11 (190) 4.39 40
59 catches for 1095 yards and 6 TDs (averaged 14.62 ypg 2 td)
Pretty good receiver too.
Williams is coming into the NFL Draft with a lot of attention and momentum. He is coming off a very good bowl game and ended up with over 1000 yards receiving. At 5-11 and a 4.3 forty he presents an automatic disadvantage for corners. I think he could have been a little more consistent over his tenure in Madison. A guy of his size and speed should be dominating the competition. However, he is no slouch and will certainly be a day 1 pick at this point. Should he run a 4.3 at the combine or his pro day, I think he will shoot into the first round with the class of receivers this year that are average. A big prospect with a ton of upside, the only question will be is he going to warrant where he is selected?
Rank = #12 in country
CB Devin Hester - 5'11 (185) 4.33 40
2005: 11 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 1 INT * 14.18 ypg 1 td return.
Blazing fast," "electric," and "exciting" are all terms that immediately come to mind when asked to describe Devin Hester on a football field. Hester has an uncanny ability to completely stop his momentum at will and leave would be tacklers flying by him as he races off to another area of the field. Even the best tacklers in the nation look absolutely foolish when given the assignment of tackling Hester in the open field. Devin just absolutely captures the complete attention of everyone watching the game because you just know he is going to do something amazing

WR Jeremy Bloom- 5'9 (170) unknown 40
In 2003, made first team freshman All-American in football, third team All-American punt returner, in his Freshman year, 2002 had the longest pass reception in CU history at 94 yards against KSU for a touchdown, first punt return in college career was 75 yards for touchdown. Bloom was all-state receiver at Loveland High School, where his team won the Colorado state championship his senior year; caught 48 passes for 1,116 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2000
A speedster on foot (as well as skis), he was a three-year high school letter winner in track and a member of the state champion 800-meter relay team his junior year at Loveland.
Rank = #15 in country
WR Skyler Green 5'9 (193) 4.49 unofficial
27 returns for 13.30 ypg and 1 touchdown.
Green is one of the class acts of college football. He is very active in community service activities. Green may only be 5' 9" and not the prototypical size an NFL team might be looking for, but his ability to catch the ball and create positive yardage following the catch, in addition to his outstanding punt and kick return abilities, will make him an early second-day selection in the 2006 NFL Draft. If he is able to regain the speed and explosiveness he exhibited as a sophomore prior to his ankle injuries, we could be looking at another Steve Smith (WR Carolina Panthers) in the making.
