No vacations in 20 years? You deserve a break man. I always tell people that I don't even remember my 20s. No vacations and it was all overtime.Well now I feel better for not taking a vacation in the last 20 years.
I just use my vacation days here and there...I use a lot of them on days after Dallas plays a late game, that way I can watch it without driving off the road the next morning. No vacations in 20 years? I do the same thing. With this team, some days it's to celebrate and other days it's to mourn and recover. I guess it's that way with all teams. LOL.I just use my vacation days here and there...I use a lot of them on days after Dallas plays a late game, that way I can watch it without driving off the road the next morning.
I'm guilty too. Not at THAT level, but I was definitely overdoing itNo vacations in 20 years? You deserve a break man. I always tell people that I don't even remember my 20s. No vacations and it was all overtime.
So true man. I'm slowly learning to not do that anymore.I'm guilty too. Not at THAT level, but I was definitely overdoing it
So foolish of me
The old saying is 100% true that said nobody on their death bed ever looked back at the life and said "I wish I had worked even more and saw less of my kids and took less "life" time"
I'm actually taking the day off in the spirit of this conversation. Half of my company has been doing it since this pandemic started so why not?I'm guilty too. Not at THAT level, but I was definitely overdoing it

I had 4 weeks off and with the pandemic spreading, we just stayed home. After 22 years at my job, it's getting really hard coming back to work.
In fact, I have a meeting today with our retirement counselor..... hahaha.
Thanks man. I needed to laugh right now. LOL!Man...I know the feeling and I absolutely hate it. Feels like I'm just wishing my life away when I'm at work by wanting to get the heck home. I'm going to be in big trouble once this pandemic is over. In March, I started working from home 5 days/week. That came to an end at the beginning of July. Since then, I have been in the office every Tuesday through Thursday and then working from home every Monday & Friday. 4-Day weekends for months straight is just asking for problems when it comes to an end. Now, I'm not saying that I don't work while at home because I do. I have worked on my tan, breaking in the new swimming pool, researching what makes Netflix & Amazon Prime tick and experimenting with extended naps in order to study their effects on my energy levels.
I’ll be retiring next year in May. Can’t wait.I had 4 weeks off and with the pandemic spreading, we just stayed home. After 22 years at my job, it's getting really hard coming back to work.

Neither can your coworkers.I’ll be retiring next year in May. Can’t wait.
You'd be wrong.....as usual.Neither can your coworkers.
You haven't read enough of my posts to know if that's "usual". But either way, I hope you know I was joking. You'd be wrong.....as usual.
I'm happy about your retirement but man you need to lighten up a bit. If you don't recognize RWB's comment as a friendly jab, I don't know what to say. You'd be wrong.....as usual.
Depends on his mood at the time. You haven't read enough of my posts to know if that's "usual". But either way, I hope you know I was joking.
