Reuben Droughns Traded To The Giants for Tim Carter

If I am a Giants fan I like the deal. Droughns is still productive and Carter has never really been in their plans.

They still will draft a RB, but now they are not hard pressed to move up and get Lynch.
I watched some of the Browns games last year and came away unimpressed with Droughns. He is about half the halfback that Tiki was.

I think you must be right -- The Giants have to be prepared to spend a first day draft choice on an RB.

I could see the Giants drafting Louisville's Bush (Peterson and Lynch are likely to be already gone) and using Droughns is a stop gap until Bush is ready.

That would make some sense.

His girlfriend, Summer, left him for Tony Romo and Tom Brady.

If she's with Brady, then not only must she be knocked up, but Summer is ironically due in the Winter.

I would not go for Bush if I was them. He is a bigger back and they now have 2 that fit that mold. Pittman, Irons, Walker, Booker type backs is who I would look at in the 3rd.

I agree. I like Irons or Pittman in the 3rd

Why can't Droughns stay put? He moves more than an Army brat.

This is a junk for junk trade, nothing to see here, move along. Droughns has not done anything outside of "the system" in Denver that made Ron Dayne look like a superstar. Tim Carter is a speedster who will never be anything more than a #3 receiver.

I think the G-Men are just trying to get insurance in case the Brandon Jacobs experiment doesn't work out.

wow thats good news. i thought they were gonna get a good rb:laugh2:

That'd make him a quarter-back. :)

With that said and out of the way.

WHOOOOOA NELLY.

HOLY MOLY MOTHER OF MILK AND MAYHEM.

The NFL has just tilted on it's axis, the foundation of the NFL has just shook.

The NFL will never be the same again.

This will be remembered countless generations down the road as simply...THE TRADE.

:laugh1:

Well...I thought they would get a little something better to fill Tiki's shoes in a split time backfield.

Not that I am complaining mind you.:D

So much for Adrian Peterson sliding in the draft. It's clearer than ever that Cleveland is preparing to draft him.
