If they ever bought a clue and got a top shelf runner, TE and LB, they would be the odds on favorites for the division if not the conference.

Luckily, they keep spinning their wheels, signing players like TE Rhett Ellison, RB Shawn Draughn and re-signed both Herzlich and Keenan Robinson.

I think that's exactly where they're going RD1. TE or RB. I hate them but its a good year for those.

Ugh, I hate the Giants, and it pains me to admit it, but they're going to be tough. They've put together a good football team and still have the draft to go.

They still suck though.:p

Marinelli supposedly put his blessing on drafting Elliott over Jalen Ramsey. What type of coordinator won't fight tooth and nail for players, particularly high draft impact players. Also, Leon Lett didn't like or want Bosa. Lett is one coach that shouldn't be listened to on talent evals.

Any coach with a sense of context or who trusts his employer to evaluate the job he does coaching relative to his talent level ought to give his blessing to drafting whoever the organization had ranked the highest. What sort of coach wouldn't is the better question. Nobody needs partisan backbiting going on on draft day.

And where are you getting your info that Lets is the one that didn't like or want Bosa? Or that this unsubstantiated opinion from Leon Lett carried weight as to what we'd do with the #4 pick overall? Every account I've heard Dallas had Bosa fairly high on our board--just after Ramsey and Elliott, if Broaddus is to be believed. The fact that Bosa was gone at #3 anyway kind of makes that discussion moot, anyway.

Good point, another reason for excuses and next year etc.
If he does ok this year, people will say he is a magician !
he screams and hollers on the sidelines, that gives him at least a 2 year window to suck.

lol yes and jg has all the players run by him as they come off, or he goes to where they will come off,
so he can pat butt,or whack them in the head.
Linehan is the only one with no gimmick.

Marinelli has everyone fooled, or most of them.

The source for that is Tony Pauline over at draftinsider.net. That site's redirecting to a pop that's trying to sell me an apple watch, which I don't want because I'm not a ****** (don't argue with me on that one, people), so I'm going to have to take your word for it. But I still think it's a lot more likely they liked Bosa just fine but had him behind both Elliott and Ramsey, so it was moot, anyway. That's consistent with what I've heard elsewhere and probably more realistic than thinking others in the organization liked him but Leon Lett talked them out of it.

Only addition that concerns me is Jeffries because he is awesome when healthy. The Giants additions were a bunch of retreads. The OL additions especially so.

The main driver of the boards Bosa sentiment was Broaddus who perpetuated the "good not great" reasoning which was oversimplified stupidity for easy consumption.

There was quite a bit of talk after Bosa ran a 40 in the 4.7s. People using 40 times to evaluate linemen will always be amusing to me.

Going to be fun to see how it plays out. We will have the best offense and most likely the worst defense in the division.

You keep spouting opinion as fact... but it is just one person's viewpoint.

You even put a number on the games it will cost Dallas, lol. How did you arrive at 4? Why not 3? Or 5? Will it be the defense that keeps it from being 5 because they played well? Or will the offense save that 5th game with a 4th quarter drive with Elliott scoring the winning TD?

I really dont see any competition from the Skins and Eagles. We still cant beat the Giants secondary .,we need speed at TE to but i dont see any help there unless we draft Wittens replacement.

Realistically the strength of last year's defense is mostly the same. I also think the FO is looking at Tapper and (fingers crossed) Jalen Smith as new and productive additions. They can also play the same game of keep away that they did last year to shorten the game and protect the D by sustaining offensive drives. So overall I think we'll be fine.

There will be some growing pains for sure in the secondary but it's not as doom and gloom as it's being made out to be imo. There are some legit players that will be around for Dallas to pick up.

No I think it'll still be a good season. It's just hard to see Dallas as a legit sb contender. It all comes down to hope and ifs.
