Multi runthreat offense, using both zone blocking and the power blocking the oline picked up in 2015. Obvious things we should have always been doing once we had a running QB as our starter in 2016.

We have a great oline that can block in both schemes. We have a running QB. A great power TB. And we purposefully picked fast complementary run threats threats who can attack the edges.

Fundamentally, we're threw everything our oline and runners can do well against the Rams, leaving them wondering *which* of those things we're going to do on the next play. Instead of predictable to the defense, we're now confusing to them.

can we do it multiple games as effectively? thats what I want to see, an identity reborn and a run to the NFCCG at the very least..if not it was one game and thats abut it..

and we wont be able to do this if our defense doesnt play well and we get behind..Zekes been running like that for 3 weeks in row in the first half only to have it fall apart getting behind do to poor defense..

the defense is key, it always has been, we lost to GB twice due to bad defense and last years rams playoff game..

I wanna see an interview with the same Rams players who said they knew what we were gonna do, based on the pre-snap positions of the OL in the other game.

What some fans miss is that we didn't just follow the coaches blocking assignments. The OL players were smart enough to make adjustments to block the more dangerous threat to blow up the play when needed. Smart OL.

Are you saying our players went rogue?

Our players need to go rogue in order to do that IMO. Signs point to our defense going rogue (Source: Sounds from the Sidelines video where Richard was talking to the secondary about “jamming the inside”, implying the players started doing that themselves) and our O-line going rogue.

This is what the pass vs run crowd is missing. The pass didn't set the run game up for this game coaching did... K Moore, Columbo and the O-Line did. They went back and added power blocking into the run game, they mixed up the looks beautifully. If you look at Zeke's rookie year highlight reel he busted a ton of big runs behind power (man) and inside zone.

When we can run the ball like this we are very hard to beat with this O-line and Zeke...add Pollard and we may have something here. STICK WITH IT

I love watching zeke blow people up on a run block !

But "Jeffery Time" is wearing his hat backwards. Doesn't that negate his football views?

Isn't it funny how worthless NFL writers are? Lots of issues of interest to fans like this just get dropped. It's such an obvious story.

I really liked them mixing man and zone up. After the success we had with McFadden and man blocking, using man and zone was just money lying on the street waiting to be picked up. A huge advantage to keep the defense guessing when you can do both well.

Omg. You can just feel the IQ draining as you read further.

this has always been the blocking scheme, you just see them finally paying more attention to detail. they followed their blocking rules .

What the O-Line went Rogue???

..whatever the OL did to get those holes open, they must stick to the plan. Hopefully, they figured something NEW out, they hadn't before.

Maybe it just seemed like it, but I thought we ran mostly with Dak under center. Zeke seems to hit the hole before the D can penetrate.
