Revisit DE...opinions changed?

I'm a Penn St fan, graduate and homer and I don't even know if I would take Still. Todays game was a prime example why. He should of dominated that game and you would be hard pressed to know he was even in uniform. He is way too hot and cold for me.

So........for the last several years I have pegged a DE for the Cowboys in Round 1 at some point or another. Last year I wanted JJ Watt.........got blasted for it. Wanted Ryan Kerrigan.........got blasted for it.

2010 I called for Jared Ordick.........got blasted

It appeared the Cowboys also were interested but it never seemed to work out.

The reasoning? I have been told the position is simply not important. 3-4 DE's dont rush the passer.....I think someone forgot to tell JJ Watt and Ryan Kerrigan.

While the lack of pass rush, pressure and QB sacks by our unit other then Ware is fresh on everyone's mind and given what Watt and Kerrigan have shown this year and how a DE can indeed bring that aspect to a 3-4 defense has anyone's mind changed yet?

Kerrigan isn't a 3-4 DE.

As for 3-4 DEs, the new 3-4 DEs can get to the QB. Look at San Fran, Arizona. Pitt, and Baltimore, they all get pressure and don't relies on just the OLBs.

I would love to get a 3-4 DE that can get pressure so we don't have to relie on Ware and Spencer. This is why I want Ratliff moved to DE and for us to sign Calais Campbell.

I don't think you have to draft a 3-4 DE in the 1st to get one that can get pressure. There have been several taken much later and also several taken in the 1st that can't get to the QB, ala Spears, Liuget, and some wanted Cameron Jordan last year but what has he done this year.

Also this draft this year doesn't have a Watt that I have found yet. I would rather get Wolfe later in the draft.

Glad McClellin rings a bell with someone. The kid is a player and just flat out productive. Not to mention he knows how to find a QB!

Gosh...any draft with McClellin in it makes me happy...problem with your mock is it will take a higher pick to get him...mind you I would be good as high as the third round.
I too like Wolfe as well as Matt Conrath and Kendall Reyes as DE prospects. The line definately needs to be upgraded.
