Here the same with Diggs, we have been demanding for a ball hawking CB for years, but now people want to trade him cause he isn't a strong tackler.
Diggs ain’t going nowhere. But I guess it’s a nice talking point for some.

Watch when he starts picking the ball off again when teams start throwing his way again, same people will be loving it!

Since we are speculating, I’ll speculate as well.

  • I speculate that Dallas isn’t working in a vacuum and has a pretty good idea of what they can expect from Gallup.
  • I speculate that Dallas has a similar idea with Tolbert who wasn’t ready and has a well known work ethic.
  • I speculate that Dallas has an idea of how they will use Pollard and have discussed the possibility of additional receiving responsibilities (he was a WR in HS/early college).
  • I speculate that Dallas will do their due diligence to avoid the debacle from last year.
  • I speculate that if Dallas goes WR in R1, it was because they weren’t satisfied with the answers above.
  • I speculate that all we can do is speculate because we operate with incomplete information.

There is a reason why they are looking at so many receivers as they don't trust who they have!
Ok......Gallup was just a shell of himself. We all said he tried to come back too fast. Not to mention a lot of players have admitted even once their injury healed, it took a while to regain their confidence but I guess the round they select will tell us all we need to know about much they trust what they have. Again, agree they'll likely select one, but more of a developmental type, not an immediate starter or impact.

We agree to disagree on this one.......

If we see a receiver within the top 2 rounds it would tell us how comfortable they feel at the position

They might get one that would be an upgrade to Gallup and Tolbert in rd. 3 but the odds are beter in the first two.

I feel that just want to protect themselves from being in a similar situation as last season. If Gallup rebounds, great, if Tolbert makes an impact, fine. It would be a good problem to have. I agree, think they are going to draft one within the first two rds.

If they can find quality starters at OL, WR, CB, LB, DL and RB this team can be very successful over the next 5 years+. These spots are our biggest needs. Not only for this season, but the next few years as well. I'm not saying they must to it all in this draft but it needs to be done as fast as possible. We have several guys that already have, or are about to, drop off, get cut or move on. Filling their voids is top priority.

OL- This year I'd play the Smiths at LT/RT, keeping Steele in reserve and drafting/finding a starting LG. With Tyron and Zack nearing the end of their careers the O-line rebuild should continue to be one of the very top priorities of the team for the next few drafts.

WR- Cooks will help, but he doesn't fill the hole completely, nor does he make sure it's filled for the future. Tolbert and Gallup are big question marks and with the lose of Shultz and Zeke, finding more weapons that scare defenses is a big priority.

CB- Gilmore had a great season, but hadn't been that great recently and he's 32! Who's behind him if he declines? Will they resign Brown and keep Lewis? Will either be 100% ready? Last year proved we have very little depth, Bland looks to be a slot only CB.

LB- Parsons is great, but counting on LVE, Clarke and Cox to all be good moving forward is dangerous. They way they play Micah another starter is needed and a core reserve/ST guy as well.

DL- D-Law could be released after this year. Finding his permanent replacement is needed. Williams looks to be a good pass rusher but who else is capable for the next few years? We can't keep using Micah as a full time DE. Finding another edge attacker is imperative. Armstrong is ok depth, Fowler is too, but aging, Golston is just meh. Our 4 DTs aren't bad, but not great either and an upgrade there is always welcome.

RB- Zeke is gone. Pollard isn't Zeke. He is great with the ball in space, but he's coming off injury and he isn't a bell cow. Nor is he a good blocker, at all. Finding the thunder to his lightning is a must. Jones has always been unreliable. Can Davis step up? Too big a priority to wait and see.
