Rewatched game and one thing really stood out

One thing that stood out to me was McFadden. He goes down so quick and really doesn't have any wiggle. I also think he doesn't have good vision.

I would rather go with Alfred Morris. He deserves it more.

The thing that stood out most to me was the lack of playmaking ability on the defense.

Year after year I keep expecting someone to step up and make plays and it never happens. We don't cause fumbles, we don't get interceptions and sacks are almost nonexistent.

We are not THAT FAR removed from 2014, where we nearly led the league in takeaways. 2015 was a throwaway year and 2016 was indeed a disappointment regarding takeaways. Hopefully we bounce back this year.

But let's not make it sound like it's been decades since we last generated takeaways.

We have the best preseason record in the NFL and the sky is falling. Look folks, we gonna be the preseason champs don't worry bout it.

Jaylon, Nzeocha, Irving, Mayowa, Paea, and Lewis are all 'second string' and did not play.

This should not have been much of a shock to you if you had followed him his entire career.

Despite what people still try to claim is success thanks to his 1,000 yards in 2015, he is not a natural and instinctive zone runner.

He is what Felix Jones was, but somehow, he has managed to make a longer career of it.

Morris came into the league and had success in a zone run scheme.

If I run the team, I don't keep McFadden as my backup bell cow to Elliott. No way, no how.

No its not shock to me. I was never on the McFadden bandwagon. Just that he was the worst RB of the night. Yet he's Zeke's backup.

He goes down too easily. Has no vision. And has not wiggle. Let by gones be by gones - Dallas should cut him.

Thing I noticed the most is how ill prepared we were to start the game. This is a trend and it is all on Garrett. If he cannot get his rookies and the rest of the team up for the first game of the year......it's just sad. Nice guy, but very poor coach.

McFadden is a decent RB when he has a good OL, but terrible without one.

With a bad OL, Morris would likely be better, but with a good OL McFadden is better, IMO.

DMAC needs clean blocking to succeed. He is limited no doubt.

I just hope that the current idea that is out there that McFadden is preferred is not true.

Morris deserves a shot to be the reserve.

He is better equipped to be a true bell cow runner than McFadden is.

Isn't that what a backup is supposed to be? The best option if the guy goes down?

I think Morris is a better fit for our offense. Especially if he just comes in for a few reps to spell Zeke. Thats really all we need.

Morris can come in right away have a few good runs to keep a drive going. As for McFadden, he might come in get tackled for a lose removing all momentum in a drive. MacFadden might be a better overall RB to Morris. But Morris is a better fit for our offense.

Me too. McFadden is not what the team needs right now. I think Morris suites that role better.

Morris is a terrible blocker and terrible receiver. That's not good for a backup RB.

Also noticed the patented flat Garrett-run team come out and be outexecuted out of the gate. Of all the ups and downs with Garrett, this is one things that's never changed.

Y'all crack me up...How many offensive starters played???? Holy crap, are we really this smart as Cowboy fans?
