I've never liked either one of them. Not because they're fat, overrated loud mouths but because at the end of the day they can't win the big one. Why? Could be a number of reasons, but to me most guys that act like that just don't get it done when the chips are down because they're insecure phonies. They players know it and deep down: they know it.

They are good #2 guys, but not good #1 guys. They can handle the role of defensive coordinator. They don't have what it takes to be head coaches. Plus their outwardly arrogant attitudes don't allow them to stay in one place for a long time. It wears on those around them.

The problem with that whole let's have swagger we're going to the super bowl attitude is that once the players buy into it, it's impossible to keep them focused on one game at a time the way NFL players have to do to be super bowl champions.

Once you get drummed the way the Pats did to them, then suddenly your swagger means nothing, and you can bury footballs all you want, but once it's gone, it's gone. It didn't surprise me at all that they came out flat and got beat by the Dolphins too.

heh when you get pounded into the turf the way the Pats pounded them, you no longer have swagger. :laugh2:
