was a "top performer" in five testing categories at Combine

Measuring in at 5-foot-10 and 214 pounds, Burkhead ranked second among running backs in three categories: vertical leap (39 inches), broad jump (10 feet, 5 inches) and 20-yard shuttle :)04.09).

He also was fourth at his position in the cone drill :)06.85) and fifth in the 60-yard shuttle :)11.51).

I work with someone who's kid knew him in High School (Dallas area).
Great reputation as a person and an outstanding all-around athlete (hoops, baseball, etc).

He did have a seriously slow 40 time though.

His official forty was 25th but his ten was tied for 13th.

There were only 3 players that weighed the same or less than him that ran slower.

He had the 2nd best vert and the 3rd best BJ.

Some Burkhead trivia.

As a freshman, he played for the Texas 5A HS basketball championship team...that's for senior HS (which is grades 11-12)
