I agree with the motion of having him over JFF.

As a 3rd stringer

Please no RG3 in Dallas. My fandom would take a major hit and it may not recover.

I think the pairing would be the worst choice they could make. You have one of the best examples of a quarterback that 'can't be taught' added to one of the best examples of a coaching staff that 'can't teach'.

A recipe for disaster.

Rg3 is way better than anything we have at the moment.

So 'way better' that he's been sent to NFL Siberia. Completely shut down, deactivated, neutered, and kept as far away from the field as possible.

I can't think of a more damning indictment against an NFL player - ever.

If what has transpired in Washington with this player - with multiple coaches and staffs - coupled with the draft investment they made, isn't enough to open people's eyes on him, I don't know what it would take!

I would say there is less than a one percent chance RGIII signs with Dallas.

If Nick Foles can receive a short term contract making north of 10 million after one good season, I am sure a former number 2 overall pick with one good season under his belt will do the same. Even if Dallas did want to pay him starter money---I am sure he is going to want to play after spending most of this season inactive. Manziel is more realistic only because he comes with a reasonable contract.

How many times have you seen a player go to a team and he is a disaster only to flourish somewhere else. I highly doubt that such a highly ranked player like RGIII coming out of college and who had that outstanding year in the NFL is suddenly a washup. Have you ever thought that it's the system or Scheme in Washington that is the problem? Where ever he lands he will he will regain his form Imo.

I'll take Rg3 as a back up any day of the week. people forget he wasn't like Johnny football or some of these other supposed qbs..dude was a baller in college. he's got it in there somewhere. He needs a fresh start.

...looking at the Love Fest QB in Cleveland, that continues to showcase his attention to the social life, run roughshod on any leadership character, illustrate he is limited and overhyped, and on a path of suspension/destruction........be coveted by some on this board for failing to do anything positive at all......character or field play. Wow!!!

And how many quarterbacks have you ever seen do that in Dallas? Even guys like Cassel, who were average or even win games elsewhere, come here and look completely inept. This staff hasn't got a clue as to how to teach at the quarterback position. Careers come here to die, not to be rejuvenated. Cassel will be lucky to ever find work again.

Why? Plenty of system guys have washed out at the NFL level. And there's plenty of evidence supporting the fact that he's an entitled diva who refused to do any of the work required of an NFL quarterback. And that was when he was handed the keys to the kingdom in Washington. What kind of effort do you expect from him as a backup?

I think the pairing of a quarterback who can't learn with a staff who can't teach is a recipe for disaster.

And despite all of that, he still saw the field more than RGIII?

If nothing else, that should show you how bad things are with him.

Manziel was a bust if only one 1st round draft pick. Griffin cost three 1st rounders and was still kept off the field for an entire season. A bigger indictment of a player does not exist in NFL history.

You are right this coaching staff kills alot of careers it seems there the most inept staff in the entire league. I dont know much about RG3 but he is young and you know that some of these kids come to the NFL and think they are the bomb only to fall on their faces. He is not my 1st choice but if we could get him cheap what do we have to lose?

I think Nick Foles makes the best cense, he is capable and needs time to rebuild his career. Will need to re-do his contract plus the Rams might take a 6th or 7th round pick for him or just cut him loose.

I hate the fact RG3 might be who they are looking at. Look at Garrett hug him after the Commanders game, folks on the Break give the impression there is more than interest, and then seeing his family on the sideline in Cowboys Jersey tells you their is something cooking with RG3. That being said, he is a bad fit for this offense, un-coachable and his RGmee status will gain traction in Texas. You miz well bring in Johnny Manziel because the RG3 posse will be the same way..... you just wont get RG3, you get his daddy and whole family right in there back yard.....could be a horrible mess and another distraction going into 2016.

You think TO was bad....just wait for RGme

I don't understand the "stay away" crowd. He's better than anything else we have behind Romo and he's young. His time off has matured and healed his body. I surely wouldn't say STAY AWAY especially if my backups are Kellen Moore and Matt Cassel.

I dont like him. I dont like his attitude. And it would hurt seeing him in a Cowvboys uniform, with that smug look on his face.

Dude is all about himself and his brand.

Maybe him and Jerry will hit it off though?
