RGIII or Bridgewater as backup QB?

As @mmohican29 mentioned in another thread, if RGIII and/or Bridgewater get dropped by their respective teams and become free agents, wouldn't it be smart to bring them in for a "looksie" for the backup QB role in case Dak were to go down with injury? I have absolutely no confidence in Cooper Rush or Mike White at the moment.

What say you?

I say it's been 2 preseason games in 2018 and they are trying to build chemistry with a whole new crop of we'd just like dak is but with less reps....

Got to ride them out, rush esp, and no time to deviate right now....way too much overcorrextion going on...got to play it out

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they both on the Jets? Anyway, I'd take either one as a backup. Right now Rush looks like he gets too nervous under pressure. White that bad but he totally ignores the pressure. It's like he's walking out of a burning building. That one DL could have absolutely killed him if he wanted to.

Yeah, Rush looks scared behind the line. Last year it seemed like he had a certain energy and that the team seemed to feed off it. This year his body language is way off and at times he just seemed like he was not aware of what was going on.

Bridgewater would be nice but as others have said the Jets might ask for a ransom to get him. I could see RG III if he doesn't stick in Baltimore and I am sure there will be another couple of experienced vets that will get cut.

Griffin is in Baltimore I thought, where they have Flacco and Jackson.

keep in mind that Rush and/or White are not playing behind our top OLine....and, as has been said in other threads, our depth at other positions is not league's best....we are not likely to see our backup QB's with starters in front of them, but I bet they would look MUCH better with no pressure in their face on every play

Yeah you're right. But I'll still take RG3 over what we have now. I'd take White over RG3 if he was able to establish an internal clock. But at the moment he's a strip sack machine.

Problem is you gotta pay to play. Teams aren't going to let guys in demand go for nothing.

A Dak injury is the single worst thing that could happen to this team regardless of what the naysayers say.
