I was actually thinking exactly the same thing. The David Irving pilfer has given them a shot of confidence.Just a week 17 body at the moment. With the way the front office has been I wouldn't be surprised if dude could play though
Great story for his grandchildren. He just got a super bowl ring to play one week here
Seriously. They're managing to find all these guys who are able to at least contribute off other people's practice squads! Keep it up McCray!Just a week 17 body at the moment. With the way the front office has been I wouldn't be surprised if dude could play though
It's not a one game pickup. He has to stay on the roster for three weeks. It may be depth for this week and in case some guys don't heal well. It also, could also be a player they like and want to take a look at in the off season. Perhaps they feel he may have potential to be more with the right system and coaching.
It could be they just want him for this game but that's a high price of a roster spot for three weeks.

He's a non movable.......has potential to stop gashes up the middle
No, he does not have to stay on the roster for 3 weeks. The team has to pay him for 3 weeks but they can cut him at any time. It's not a one game pickup. He has to stay on the roster for three weeks. The alignment that Gruden went on and on about was a 3-2-6 which is a pass defense alignment.I think that was the point. They were being eaten up vs Detroit and moved into another alignment (I think I heard 5-2 with only 2 backers out there.) Having a hog in the middle could help protect the vulnerabilities of that defense. Im not the best X's and O's guy but that was how I understood it.

He has to get paid for 3 weeks. He does not have to be on he roster.
Championship?
