A day after the wife of Bills kicker [URL='http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5007/dan-carpenter']Dan Carpenter apologized for a tweet suggesting that Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman should be castrated, Sherman wasn’t much interested in Kaela Carpenter’s public apology.

It’s not surprising at all,” Sherman said when reporters asked him about her tweet on Wednesday. “This is a day in age where you’ve got Ku Klux Klan running around . . . you know, people say whatever they want and here’s very little consequence. For her to say something like that and then have a BS apology like she did, I mean, it’s just the way of the world. I don’t let it bother me. It’s something that I’m very used to. It’s just the way people are — the way people were raised.”

I guess the upside is that the stupidity is actually revealed. You can tell a lot about people by the way they behave online/through social media.

I don't have a problem with anything he said. It was extreme yes, but it was needed to highlight his larger point.

I agree.

Let's see, her husband was just brutally ran into and was lucky to not get hurt and it was his leg which his ENTIRE CAREER is dependent upon and it looked like Sherman did it on purpose.

And somehow, she's not supposed to be mad at Sherman?

And saying that she would have him castrated is a gross exaggeration, just as much as Sherman saying that the KKK is running around.

It was a legal play. Sherman's hand was on the ball prior to the actual kick.

The kicker's wife said something stupid. IMO Sherman's response was as well. Everything today is exaggerated to the extreme and both of their messages are clear examples of that.

I order chocolate-chocolate chip at the ice cream shop but get mint-chocolate chip...must be some sort of racial slur is all I can tell. The person behind the counter who just irrelevantly happens to be a different shade must be sending me a racial message.

people are over the top with this garbage.

He was unabaited to the kicker and it should have been roughing the kicker just like if a pass rusher jumped well offsides, the whistle blew and he still creamed the QB.

No, viman, it wasn't legal.
The only question is whether he should not only have gotten a roughing penalty, but should he also have been ejected. The later is debatable, the former is not.

He was offsides as YR mentioned so it was not legal which I spaced when posting my comment.

I meant the roughing part. The league said it was roughing and wasn't called. The only debate was if he should have been ejected for unnecessary roughness.

Then he looked like he was taunting them about it.......wives are going to be protective....look at Beazer's woman for example..........I thought it was funny for a farm girl and it wasn't racist at all

It is amazing how certain people get free reign to call everyone else bigots and racists like that isn't one of the most offensive things you could call someone....it is like asking someone "so how long have you beat your wife?" there is no good repsonse
