Richardson the 1st overall pick is gaining buzz

When is the last Ohio State QB to do anything? They are all incredibly overrated by the talent around them. Stroud is no different.
Whatever they’re doing at Ohio State, it’s not preparing them for the pros.

The best guy to walk their halls left and won a title at LSU and now is arguably a top 4 NFL QB.

That said, Stroud is the strongest QB prospect they’ve had in a while. But holy crap did he have some weapons to throw to.

this shows us just how awful this years QB class is. Worst in many years. This guy struggles badly to hit wide open guys routinely. I've see many Fla. games. His issue is between his ears. Struggles processing his reads and getting the ball out decisively. Takes off and runs when he doesnt need to. I am not buying this bs that he's a rd 1 guy. If this draft had better QB options, he might even go undrafted or in rd 6,7.
Worst than last year?

Levis is trash. I watched many wildcat games and when it mattered this guy shrinks. Has the traits but again, between the ears, he aint it. He is inaccurate and processes things 2 slow. He is much like Tim Couch. Next years draft in 2024 will be much much better. Deeper better QB class. The Wake kid Hartman is a stud at QB. If he was in this draft he might get drafted before stroud. The Utah QB is great as well...then the USC QB Caleb Williams. The QB I want is Arch Manning in 2025. I cant wait to see how he does at Texas.
With Dallas restructuring dak instead of extending him, I can see Dallas walking away if the results aren't there this yr.

And if that's the case, if he comes out, I'd want primes kid. Inferior comp or not, the kid just plays best when the games on the line.you can tell prime has been preparing this kid for this his whole life.

Underwear Olympics strikes again. Crazy how so many people will completely toss away gameplay tape for a 40 time and vertical leap. That's what i look for in my QB.
It amazes me how many so called professional 'football' people fall for it again and again and again.

around 85% of what makes a real QB is BETWEEN THE EARS

Not in the arm or body or legs.

No way in hell is he the best QB. I go to games in Gainesville and I was never blown away by Richardsons game. Very inconsistent and up and down.
No question he's raw/green but good lord, there's a lot to work with. I would certainly consider him and follow the Titans/Steve McNair template. They have put together one of the best coaching staff in the league. Let him sit for a year and start in 2024.

How often has such a raw college QB reached elite status?

and the number one pick?

I think Stroud is the best QB in the class
I tend to agree with you only because of his size comapre to Young. Young does make quick decisions and is accurate. I would take either qb though.

Ummm, excuse me, Carolina.
You did not need to trade the farm to move up for THIS guy.

Maybe they aren't, but I had a feeling when they made that aggressive trade that it might be for a very high-risk, high-reward type.... which is Richardson and not the "relatively" safer Young or Stroud

Could possibly have stayed put and still got this guy.

There have been rumblings that Indianapolis was interested though. Maybe that caused their desperation to move up.

I think we already know that Houston had about the same interest in both Stroud and Young

Does anyone doubt the Panthers will poop the bed with the 1st pick?
I don’t know about the power structure with their owner, but their new GM was the lead scout when Seattle drafted Russel Wilson and I would trust Frank Reich to pick a QB. Obviously it crashed and burned later for other reasons, but Carson Wentz was a project under Reich that developed. Don’t think the outlook is that bleak for Carolina
