First I've heard of this. I remember past HOFers thanking him and he did mention Jerry quite a bit in his final article.
Jerry will hire him for DC.com

Goose will be alright. Nothing to see here. DMN is crap.

I've never been a big fan. He gets the top 100 during the draft right, but that's from connections and not so much his own research into the picks (which is fine).

He's a relic of pre-internet reporting, when having the beat and relationships meant you could post an informative article but very little analysis or detail. With the internet and readily available information, that style of sports journalism is no longer a premium.

Among the non-athlete media, he's been as pretentious as Mickey, if not more, but he usually has something interesting to say, and even if he's wrong, he's ended up being right often enough that I have to take him seriously.

So, he's not retiring is he? What's his next lily pad?

I have barely noticed him since he stopped doing his draft thing.

Just posted his last article for the newspaper in Dallas. Sad day. That newspaper continues to rack up L's.
They had the ultimate draft insider and instead of capitalizing on it, they turned him into a sports reporter, which everyone has. IDIOTS! Norm said it best, "They had a unicorn and cut off his horn and turned him into a horse."

Goose was a strong football mind that was never very good as a general columnist.

His mock draft work pre internet draftnik era was elite.
