Rico on the Hail Mary

The pass was where it needed to be, and Rico was where he needed to be—in front of the cluster of players going up for the arriving ball. Would have been nice if his timing, facing, and reaction time had been a smidge sharper. Hail Marys work, when they work, because of someone snagging the deflection, usually positioned exactly where Rico was.

Obviously it’s counterintuitive to send a shrimp out there, but I do wonder if Beas in that position might have snagged the bounce.

i watched for it and dont think so.
others were down there first and had better position.

Tough to catch any deflection around there. IMO it's sheer luck when it does happen.
