If Riddick becomes the Jag's new GM and Lawrence pulls an Eli refusing to go to Jacksonville a mega-deal involving Dak to the Jags would be a real possibility.
Riddick loves Dak to the moon and the NFL would love Lawrence wearing the Star for obvious reasons.
It's a stretch but not impossible.....

1 Overall, Then Trade Him To Giants. Leading up to the 2004 NFL Draft, Eli Manning, the consensus No. 1 pick, went public, telling the San Diego Chargers, owners of the draft's first overall selection, he did not want to play for them.

Let the dream die. It’s probably a dead point. I’m not even sure that sunshine will be that good in the NFL.

After seeing Dallas not want to pay the franchise QB they have now in Dak, exactly why would he want to come here. He’s more likely to refuse to come to Dallas than Jacksonville. At least Jacksonville is willing to justly compensate players for their hard work and dedication. Maybe, just maybe it would more productive to spend more time getting used to the fact that Dak is going to get a buttload of money and be the QB here for the next 8 to 10 years and less time thinking up goofy fairytale scenarios!

By “real possibility” do you mean “not happening?”

Lol they would fire him if he even thought of doing something so stupid.

It's so unique:huh: when management steps in to ridicule a member's post and take a position daily on the most debated issue in these forums.
Bad for business if you ask me then again it's your house there Mod man.

Yes, because Jacksonville has such a long history of paying its franchise players. Its not like they just had a massive fire sale or anything. Its an extreme longshot this scenarios happens, but lets actually create a response that makes sense, and not one just to satisfy your agenda.

Jacksonville hasn’t had a lot of franchise players. But they’ve sure been willing to handout some massive contracts to other teams FAs. Now haven’t they? Given the chance I’m sure they would love to compensate a franchise QB. And they’re fans would show the use of good basic reasoning skills in supporting that signing!

Reality check. If Jacksonville is #1 they are selecting Lawrence. They will not trade the pick or the player.

Dallas will either tag Prescott or sign him. Prescott will be the QB in 2021.

The only way Prescott is not the QB next season is if Dallas places the non exclusive tag to garner two #1s.

If Prescott is available New England, New York, Indianapolis, Denver, Washington, Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, Carolina, Atlanta, San Francisco, and maybe Pittsburgh if Ben retires will all be landing spots. There will be a sellers market.

The overall notion that a player would rather go to Jacksonville than Dallas is ridiculous.

Jacksonville has had plenty of great players, but are in a constant rebuild mode and just decimated their team for picks, including probably the best CB in the league.

When is the last time the cowboys have let a great player walk in FA? They’ve taken care of their players for the most part, and have plenty of bloated contract on their roster to show for it.

Youre overall argument that Dallas is better off with Dak is very valid, but how you got to that part is borderline trollish.

if i owned the jags and my gm said i'll draft lawrence and trade him for dak, i'd fire him on the spot. 40 million a year for a potential superstar on a rookie deal? fugeddaboutit.
I'm assuming he means Dak AND Dallas' 1st round pick?

There is zero chance that they trade Lawrence for Dak straight up....for several reasons. You're right

This would be a Christmas Miracle and about as close to happening as Jerry Jones giving up his GM duties.

That’s about as goofy a thing I ever heard

I see Jerry moving on from dak for a mahomes hurts Jackson kind of guy. Is that what Lawrence is?
