Are we better than the Patriots? San Diego beat them and we beat the Chargers...L.T. ran all over them but couldnt get chunks of yards against us.. Yes we let Jordan run over us but we were worried about the deep ball the whole game. I think everyone that wants Parcells gone now are just plain crazy and should really get some meds. He is the only reason we have hope for this year...He is the one who gave us such a great draft. He is the reason we have a QB who despite the beliefs of some here, can actually still play..Come on guys we just lost to a better team on Sun. Now whos to say in 4 weeks were not a better team...Were only chippin away right now but I truly believe that by week 10 everyone here will be singing a different tune..

We're not better than the Patriots. The Chargers are clearly a different team than they were in Week 1.

You think it's bad now? Wait til the Eagles and Giants get a hold of us..

Yeah I'm kind of scared of these next 2 weeks, they better beat the Giants though, I'm going to that game.

I agree that we are no PAtriots but San Diego did not beat the same Pats tean either:

No Harrison
No LT Matt Light
No Faulk

Cannot say they were quite the same team either

I said it in another thread and I'll repeat it here to answer your post- given the shaky win over a bad SF team and the loss to a possibly even worse Oak team, I see the Cowboys at 3-5 at the mid-point.

The way the NFL season is going so far don't be shocked if we beat the Eagles and the Giants. I know this sounds farfetched right now but look at how inconsistent things have been across the league thus far. Any giving Sunday is ringing true right now.

They had no trouble passing on Dallas anyway. How many yards did Tomlinson rush on us? Does that have a dam thing to do with that TE. I hear he isn't that good a blocker.

And Drew Bledsoe played much better against San Diego's defense than Tom Brady did. Bledsoe was 18-for-24 for 226 yards and three touchdowns, and we scored 28 points. Brady was 19-for-32 for 224 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and the Pats scored only 17 points.

Brady had two third-down plays when he completed a pass short of the first down, and he threw three straight incompletions after getting a first-and-goal at the 6.

You see, for all you Bledsoe haters, "The Great ones" don't always come up clutch like a few of you are suggesting that they do.

Yeah, I guess Gates would have been out at Linebacker too, to help shut down our passing game :blind:

I think we've proven without much doubt week one was a fluke victory

and for all the chest pounding over the win, it isnt like we took them to the woodshed or anything...we barely held on at the end

in 1992 we lost to a terrible Ram team at home...we lost to two miserable teams in 1993 (Wash, Atlanta) and in 1995 we were swept by the lousy Commanders...those were "flukes"....just like our season opening win this yr
