This one hurts. I never met Brigitte Bardot, but she helped me to learn to speak French. Back when I started learning that language, I didn't have any streaming services yet, so I ordered off for a lot of French movies on DVD. Her movies were old since they were from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, and that made the DVD collections of her movies inexpensive. Then, as it turned out, many of her movies were excellent. I even wrote her a fan letter when my French was good enough. Maybe she even got it and read it. I'll never know for sure.

Au revoir, Brigitte. You will be missed.

I would have bet a paycheck that she was already gone. Oh well, rest in peace.

An absolute icon...... tho time has passed, she just doesn't seem so hot anymore..... but I like her iconography and a few of her movies. She's the French Marilyn.

time for a Le Mepris rewatch. i just clicked the Amazon delivery button.

I meant going back in time. Contemporary girls have passed her in hotness applying 2020s standards to 1960s standards she just doesn't seem so hot anymore.
Okay, but I disagree there. She will stand the test of time in terms of hotness. One of the most beautiful women ever. I wasn’t alive during her prime but I can appreciate her beauty compared to past and present.

I could see her in Russ Meyer movies. Lorna (1964) is one of my favorite movies. severely missing the presence of Bardot. other movies too, of course.

I was about ten when she had already peaked in the late Sixties. Gorgeous woman with a lovely face and athletic build. And a blonde when that was a real ‘thing’. hubba hubba

She was too flat chested to be in a Russ Meyer movie.

She was a beautiful woman.
RIP beautiful lady.
