By coincidence, today woulda been his 79th birthday (b. Nov 10, 1940).

The only Cowboys player named Lance I remember was Rentzel and I definitely want to keep forgetting him.

I did not know him as a player, but as an instructor at Nicholls State University. He always talked positive about the Cowboys organization and about how great of a man Tom Landry was. He was an all around good guy and I am saddened by his passing.
