I sometimes feel bad for this guy that he always seems to find ways to bring negative attention to himself

I don't feel sorry for him. Not a bit.

Excellent post.

As was I. Sadly, I'm getting the same feeling that I had for Romo as I did for Bledsoe as he was about to lose his starting position. I don't think he is the man for the job. It's only a matter of time before the coaching staff starts to realize this.

it hurts man

i really like Romo....just sucks he isn't the QB i thought he could be

This is simply the worst football day in my life. Part of me died today, the part that hoped class act, first rate person Tony Romo - and he is about as good a person on this Earth that can be- was going to take us on a journey to the top. He isn't. He won't. Strangely the only thing keeping me from being completely miserable is the fact that the real life reality show we watch each week with him at QB is as compelling as any thing I've ever seen in professional sports.

Romo the QB is like a pretty good baseball team with good hitting and starting pitching but a shaky bullpen. Good enough to play well in any circumstance, but there's always that one component that gives you an uneasy feeling just like a bad bullpen. Maybe the bullpen does their job to close the game. Maybe they don't. You never know but you expect the worst. Those teams don't win playoff games and definitely not championships. Sadly I think that makeup describes Romo.

If Romo was a closer, who would he be?

Papelbon, K-Rod?

It's effective. No names have been called since you laid down the law.
Maybe Romo would respond too. I'm willing to trying anything because leaving it up to him just screws us.
Question.

Do you think this is DallasCowboys.com or something?

Welcome to the club, my friend.

Danny White was far superior to Romo. The comparison is horrible and a complete insult to Danny White.

Could you show us the breakdown between Romo and DW so we can see exactly what you just claimed?

I'll be here for a few...thanks.

He's living a classic Greek tragedy. It as if his epic failures are fated.

It is sad to watch. I feel sorry for the guy. Despite his fortune, it can't be easy being him, especially at these all too common moments.

Well said.

44-6 2 Philli for a playoff spot still stands out to me for worst day ever.

I think if Romo doesn't win in the post season this year than the Cowboys are going to be QB shopping hard this offseason.

There is just no excuse for what he did today.

Biggest collapse in team history.. Seriously...

Not gonna happen, most recent chokejob notwithstanding.

Jerry loves him some Romo. And more importantly, Jerry has no idea how to find a better QB. His last search garnered QC, Hutchinson, Henson, Leaf, Stoerner, Wright and so on.

We only got Romo as an undrafted FA. Some call that luck but I'm not so sure we were lucky to get stuck with him. But there is no way Jerry will have the foresight to try and find a replacement like GB did when drafting Rodgers. This is a man that not only refused to find a replacement for Aikman near the end of his career, but has now gone over a decade since he's been gone without finding a quality replacement for him.

Yeah, I feel sorry for a multimillionaire who is married to a beautiful woman and is the QB of one of the most visible franchises in all of sports. Man, If this loss is the worst thing to ever happen to Tony, then, well, he has lived a pretty good life. Yeah, I feel sorry for him.

I like my life better than I like his.

Romo has a ton of signature collapses but he just doesn't have hardly any big signature wins.
This is the reason why Romo CANNOT be compared to Meredith, Staubach, White, or Aikman. He is nowhere near that level.
Romo has to be looked upon in a category that is his alone
:starspin

Better be, you are about to be blown out of the water...

Has Romo had a solid coaching staff around him since the Parcells regime left? That could be a huge part of it.

Ginger was a 3rd string benchwarmer his whole career. I can't imagine he would have much advice for a player far better than he was.

Did you ever watch him play? I did. He was on the bench behind a Hall-of-Famer in Aikman, by the way.

Your comment is plain silly. No one can teach anything that he hasn't already done himself? That is about as naive as it gets.

Do your own research, Einstein.
Of course, that would mean lifting the lard from the recliner.

I like my life better too. But, I sure as hell do not feel sorry for him.

Unfortunately, Romo is the antithesis of Roger Staubach. We always had a chance to win with Roger in the game, regardless of the situation. With Tony, we always have a chance to lose, regardless of the situation. Sad but unfortunately true.:bang2:
