no team in the nfl has lost in the heart breaking fashion we have for so many years in a row.
The Texans say hello.

for those out there who dont want Romo..who can we bring in? a rookie will take too long to develop..what are our options?

In those development years we'll win exactly as many SBs as will will with Romo with the big difference being we might have a future. Romo is not the future he's a 31 year old QB who keep repeating the same mistakes and never learns. We can settle for mediocrity with Romo for another 4-5 years or we can suck a few years and potentially be great down the road. Either way Romo ain't gonna be here forever so at some point we're going to have to go trough that whole process. Might as well be now if you ask me

How am I horribly horribly wrong?

The Cowboys find off the wall ways to lose games more than anyone.

Ask any joe schmoe fan who watches the NFL what team has the strangest collapses.

He would say the Cowboys and he would be right. Horribly horribly right.
This is the trend that is happening league wide.

Double digit leads, even 20 point leads mean nothing in the NFL anymore unless you are in the latter part of the fourth quarter. It's the consequence of a pass happy league.

These types of losses (and wins) are going to be occurring with increasing frequency league wide.

Welcome to 21st century NFL.

We are the kings of the devestating loss.

Today was no big deal. I'd rank this low as far as disapointments go even though we just had the biggest collapse in team history.

Why would they say anything? We beat them last week w/ nobody on offense.

If I were a Commander fan, I wouldn't say JACK to the Cowboys. :lmao2:

If the giants lose they would have sole place in first place.

I also think there's a lot of season left and we have two brand new coaches(Garrett as head). If you know my past I'm no homer, but it's still early and the way the rest of the division is playing we are right in it.

I do think questions about Romo and our future chances of winning a SB with him are legitimate but I'll worry about that in the offseason and during the draft. Nothing we can do right now.

Oh I agree with everything you said but my expectations are way low.

I think the Cowboys are as good as anyone. Our defense is the reason for this. Im shocked they are as good as they are...

But again... We are the kings of devestating losses so my hopes aren't up. I just know what to expect with this club.

Same here. Im not mad at all.

I had a buddy call me while we were up 24-3 and he said "enjoy the win" and I fired back "its not over yet.. this is the Cowboys we're talking about".

It's just what i've come to learn to do as a fan of this Cowboys era.

We are chokers. Im used to it at this point.

At the end of the day Romo has to have some post season success this year.

If not the Cowboys will be shopping for QB this offseason.

The Cowboys should be 4-0 right now. Because of Romo we're 2-2.

I had resigned myself to the loss after the second pick six.

The signs have been there since day one with Romo.

Some of you would not listen.

I enjoyed the first half much better than the second one, but what are we gonna do? Romo usually has a couple of games per year that will make you wonder what he was thinking. As fans, we can only hope that he got his two albatrosses out of the way early circa 2009.

I'm not part of the bench Romo crowd. However, Garrett has to realize at some point what he has in Romo. A very talented QB with a penchant for throwing away a game. As has been posted many times, Romo is Farve 2.0. You get what you get. It's Garrett's responsibility, as the head coach AND the OC, to rein Romo in under certain circumstances. Today was such a time. No risky passes with a 24 point lead and our defense playing lights out. The two pick sixes gave their whole team life, as it would any team. That would not have happened if we had gone a bit conservative. I normally won't call for conservative play calling, but with a 24 point lead in the second half, I will take it any day. Garrett and Romo failed.

What would you have called the Mavericks prior to April last year?

I still thought we'd win until the third one. I thought for sure we would try and run the clock down at that point. That we threw a long pass like that, to me, is inexplicable.

I love the fans on here, you guys are crazy. After week one everyone wanted to hang Romo. After the SF game and after last week when Romo played with a broken rib and punctured lung, he is everyone's hero. At half time he was looking better than any QB in the NFL.

Hell Brady had 4 ints last week, it happens.
Tony made three mistakes, big mistakes. Those are bound to happen from time to time. Romo still didn't lose this game 100 %. Alot of blame goes on Garrett, why the hell are we passing the ball up 27-3 and 27-10. Run the ball, I know its not the strength but when you up that big with the way the defense was playing at the time, thats what you do. Run the ball, if you go three and out and punt and play field position.

Romo made very big mistakes, yes but Garrett has to start understanding when to pass and when its time to go conservative and run the ball.

Count me among those that is neither upset, nor surprised, by the collapse.

I took a look see on ES and found exactly what I was expecting. Somebody that can post over there should ask TR1 where he was all last week. For some unknown :D reason, he was absent all week. Now he's back. I guess it's just a coincidence.

I know this will sound pathetic, but why do I keep doing this to myself? I mean loving the Cowboys so much. Pulling for Romo so much. Only to have my heart ripped out again and again. I just can't help it though. I....am.....weak. Man, what we fans have to endure.
