Rival board obsessed with Cowboys

The Giants actually have some of the dumbest fans. I read where a lot of them thought that Shockey was better than Witten, because Shockey was on of the best blocking TE's and that Witten was on of the worst.

Extreme Skins is far worse. The ATN forum consists of a Cowboys thread started by a Commanders fan in about every other thread. A big difference is that at ES they scower the internet for any Cowboys bashing article they can find, regardless of who it is written by or how illogical or factually incorrect it may be. This Giants board seems to have somewhat topical threads on the Cowboys. I may disagree with their opinions, but they are nowhere near as infatuated with Dallas as ES is.

Unfortunately I think the Saints will have a good year. They have a cake schedule; they play in the weak NFC south and then they play the AFC west this year. Its funny how they put down the Boys but in their entire existence I believe they've won two playoff games.:tongue:

It's much like Houston who has always played second fiddle to the Cowboys...

Dallas is the most popular team in Louisiana, well in North Louisiana at least not the Saints...

There's even a Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop in the mall in Bossier City that does quite well...

I flew back from Nashville last year on a plane with the Mayor of Shreveport, Cedric Glover. I was wearing a Dallas Cowboys T-Shirt and he started talking to me. He said he can't understand why Saints fans hate Dallas so much. He said "I like the Saints and I root for them... when they aren't playing the Cowboys"...

Right on Trick I used to like the Saints a lot (I'm a big Earl Campbell fan and have been following the Saints ever since then) before I started working out of New Orleans and now I just tolerate them I still Like Payton, Copper, and Fujita, but it is hard to talk to a Saints fan about football once he finds out I'm from Texas and a Cowboy fan. I can't understand the hatred other than to pin it on Jealousy. I mean we have never been playoff rivals like the 9'ers in the nineties or the Rams and the Vikings in the seventies.

I can see why northern Louisiana mostly roots for the Cowboys with the way the Saints market themselves and the division between the three regions of that state north, gulf coast, and New Orleans. I'm sure there is a lot of resentment in the north the way Benson runs to the state capital with his hand held out basically extorting money from the state to keep the Saints in New Orleans. What would you do If Texans owner went to the State capital wanting money to keep the Texans in Houston.

I find this comment funny but so true. Most Cowboy fans in Texas outside Houston does either not hate the Texans or care about them enough to hate them. Yet, they seem to think that Cowboy fans hate them and it's a true rivalry when in fact it is not.

Something else I find funny is how you have teams not in our division or CONFERENCE hating the Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys must be doing something right than. You are hated for a reason and if most of it happens to be due to winning, than it translate to you seeing them time after time because of your winning, than it's just sheer jealousy from other teams. Nobody hates the Saints. Heck, nobody knew they were relevant until the Katrina Situation.
