Rivalry I want to see renewed

This does involve our team, so the mods can move this to Fan Zone if they wish. However, if there is one rivalry that I want our team to renew, it's the 49ers. I was watching part of the 92-92 season NFC Championship, and I couldn't help, as a 26 year old who wasn't even a month old yet, feeling a sense of awe watching that rivalry play out. I personally think that us and the 49ers in the playoffs is LONG overdue.

As I said on another post, I really hope that we play and beat them in the playoffs. I don't know of a more fun playoff series than us versus San Francisco. What say you all? What rivalry do you want rekindled? Any of you older fans miss our rivalry with San Francisco?

I could see the Rams as that. I think we sort of have one with them anyway. But yes, that'd be a cool new one. Though, there's just something about rivaling the San Francisco 49ers.

Free agency has destroyed all but traditional division rivalries. Subtract out the Patriots, and the NFL is a crap shoot every year.

In my mind, SF lost their soul when moved out of Candlestick Park. That place had so many legendary games. Don't care about them or see them as a rival anymore.

True. And that new stadium of theirs is appallingly bad. They would've been better off staying at Candlestick.

Rivalries only exist among fanbases.

The players are all buddies now. They train together. They have the same agents. Go to functions together. Pray together after games. Party in the offseason. These ideas of fierce rivalries no longer exist.

Rivalries only exist in the minds of fans.

Part of a good rivalry is hating the other team's fans, and the LA Rams don't really have a fanbase. Their only hope was getting a bandwagon from beating the Patriots and lol whelp.
