Rivera should start earning that bonus this week.

Checking out SD's depth chart I see that they have Jamal Williams at nose tackle. Williams is listed as 6'2" 348 lbs. These are the types of guys Al Johnson typically has a lot of trouble with. Gurode seems like the better option this week but Parcells has already said Johnson is starting. Looks as if Rivera will be really busy between helping out Johnson as well as the big job of mentoring Pettiti during his first real deal.
Seeing him in the J-ville game makes me feel a lot better about that situation.

I'm a little surprised that we are going with Johnson against a biggun like this. But if AJ starts getting blown off the ball I bet Parcells ahs a short hook and puts Gurode in.

Wow! He's that big?
Just keep throwing chicken wings at him, that should do the trick.

I do agree with you there.

I do think Rivera could have a big game lined up next to Petitti.

I just think that we're going to be so un-predictable running the ball, that it's going to take teams a while to adjust to our 1-2 punch with Left to Right running.

Dre is much more focusd this year. It is good that we at least have 2 servicable centers this year. I still have nightmares of Clay Shiver getting blown up every play....
