Get a corner that can double as a gunner.
Think it was Belicheck who said you can never have enough quality CBs. While I agree whole-heartedly, you've got to have room on the roster for rookies like Moore to develop. Might need to swap out one of those extra safeties for a quality CB.Why does some (seems like 98%) say they need help at CB?
They have Revel, Durant, Bland (though may are down on him)
Kendrick, though not how sure his TC went. They kept Steard for a reason, after the claimed him from waivers before the season started.
Drafted Moore, but seems he has been up and down. However, put him on the field with the starters. His play would be better. As most players would be.
Will there truly be anyone out there to claim from waivers. They do not have trade capital. And what they do have.
Do you use it on CB, RT, LB (as many think we could still use).
I say go with who you have, other than OT depth.
100%Absolutely no one, lol. Just media talking points for engagement farming. With the league today, the offense has so many advantages, there's no way you can expect to roster a ton of playmakers at defense. You just hope they can stay on the field and hold their weight,
Proves me wrong about what? When did I say he can’t run in between the tackles lol? That’s the problem he’s running into players and he’s not showing his speed.Blue has been running nothing but in between the Tackles, proving he can be used inside if needed, so that proves you wrong already.
My main concern was and is about Dak and his health, which is extremely important to anyone within his occupation as a QB. I'm joining you in that hope, without a doubt. Anyone, especially QBs, are just naturally injury-prone athletes with positions to always be targeted.Dak is now considered an injury prone QB for the 2nd half of his career. The QB2 is very important. I hope we make the right decision.
Mingo is only on a 1 year veteran min deal.Imo we should keep 6 (includes Mingo and Brown), but if we only do 5 then Mingo would be my cut. I know some say Mingo does special teams also, but work it out. Don't cut Brown. I think he possibly could be the next George Pickens.... I know it's early and all that, just an opinion hence the word possibly. This is his floor and he shows this much, Mingo took years just to show what he has. Keep both is what I think they will do.
Schotty is not running plays to help Blue show his speed. Schotty is on purpose making Blue run between the Tackles to see if he can physically handle it, plus excel when able to or make something out of nothing. Or quit and fail. Blue has shown he can run between the Tackles just fine and even excel at times. That is not including the designed plays Schotty will now run for him since Blue has proven he definitely deserves to wear the Star ☆ on his helmet. Sounds like you are going to be disappointed?.Proves me wrong about what? When did I say he can’t run in between the tackles lol? QB2 will be an interesting call.........
Disappointed about what? It’s my opinion Blue is nothing special. If he proves to be good that’s great for the Cowboys. Sounds like you’ll be disappointed when you find out a Malik Davis is number 2 on the depth chart?Schotty is not running plays to help Blue show his speed. I mean if they are only carrying 2 QBs then yeah kind of a big deal who the backup is. If they are carrying 3 then I agree. Doesn’t really matter. For them to carry 3 means they develop Milton and have Howell be backup.I don't understand the stress with QB2. If Dak goes down and we play Howell and he sucks then we'll play Milton. If we play Milton first and he sucks then we'll play Howell. Who cares about the designation if they're "neck and neck". If Dak goes down for a long time play Joe. If Dak goes down for a game or so then play Howell. If all goes well then we won't see either guy. This is getting a lot of talk and I'm more concerned about T and CB.
The only thing that matters is if Howell is QB2 on gameday I hope Joe is emergency QB and not take up a gameday roster spot. Outside of that I'm pretty happy with Howell as a short term sub and Joe as a long term developmental QB. What's exciting to me is we didn't waste our time with Joe because he's improving, unlike Lance who didn't improve. I was a Lance guy but Lance's needle did not move. Joe's has.
And yes I see the irony of me complaining about all the talk about QB2 and then making a long post about QB2. I'm complicated, lol. But I am surprised at how much attention this is getting from the media. But hey, we're the Cowboys.
