Ok. So its taken 8 years but I have finally figured Garrett's mantra out. RKG isn't about football. At all. RKG as we have all taken notice of as it came to a head this offseason is being able to sit there and work in this archaic offense, and not question the coaching staff.

All of the guys that were apparently RKG that have come out and said anything regarding this scheme are now gone, or in the process of being gone. Garrett has pulled the wool over all of our eyes and all he cares about is staying in control. Anyone that has ever questioned him or his coaching staff is gone, and that INCLUDES coaches is no longer on the team. Witten getting 98% of the snaps? He doesn't complain and he gets rewarded.

Lets take a look at everyone who is gone or on the chopping block. Dooley questioned why he couldn't have more input, Dez called out the entire scheme, Hardy snapped on coaches on the sideline and lost respect for all of them when winning wasn't important, etc etc.

RKG is all about protecting Garrets job. You call him out you are gone. I am starting to think especially after the Romo interview that came out which was 100% directed at Garrett and his horrible scheme that Garrett will not change and I am happy Romo is doing all of this now that he isn't a player, because Jerry listens to Romo and I think him being away from the team and not being able to help Dak read coverage's was a huge part of the drop off this year.

Its very apparent that Romo was really the OC of this team, which also explains why the play clock was always at 1 before the snap. Romo had to basically fix the staffs mistakes on field.

This upcoming season better be Garret and this entire staffs last. Because there isn't much more of this political garbage I can handle. We have become the laughing stock of the NFL and our once storied franchise is now just a piece of history.

Many, many, MANY years ago in the Landry days I used to go into games KNOWING that if in fact we do get beat it wont be because we were out coached. I havent felt that way now in a long time. Would be nice to feel that way again seeing I havent felt it since Parcells.

OK, I don't get it...is it Garrett's offense? or is it Linehan's offense?

Loved Parcells, but he did get too conservative at times. Playoff game vs Seattle they had bums at the cb position and we went flat out conservative.

Its Garretts offense with a lot of Linehans offense mixed in with a BIG DOSE of Garrett looking over Linehans shoulder and a whole lot of Garrett screaming into Linehans headset saying THROW IT...THROW IT! Yes...I really believe that as fact. Not kidding one bit.

#RKG = choir boys

That's what Garrett whisperer @Idgit says

And even Garrett knows less about why he's doing what than Idgit

Absolutely the truth. I knew with Landry we were going to be put into the best position to win by the staff. Same with Jimmy Johnson. After those two, it has been a crap shoot and the only time I felt our coaching staff could manufacture wins was when Parcells was here. Garrett is just so freaking conservative and it is obvious that he is always playing games to where a field goal at the end will be the difference.

Linehan's history is running a passing offense, so likely it's Garrett telling him to run it.

Who are all these people that have vocally complained about Garrett that got fired?
Dooley, Dez is now on the chopping block, Romo is gone now and he seems to be poking holes in Garrett in a very polite way, Greg Hardy complained about the coaching in TC didn't last another season, shall I go on? Anyone that has ever challenged Garrett or Linehan isn't here. Including Callahan. You know, that guy that built our OL into the best unit in the NFL. Its an opinion that I have. Garrett reminds me of someone that sits in a seat of power that I wont name because I don't want to start a politics debate because its against the rules. The term "your fired" comes to mind. And that's what Garrett has been doing since day one here. Undermining people and protecting himself since day one. Terrell Owens came out and called him out recently.

Mmmm Mmmmm. Difference is Linehan is smart enuff to have learned after being burned enuff times. Garrett never figured it out,.. nor will he ever.

Maybe in the past, but this offseason is about Linehan not Garrett.

Linehan had issues with:
OL coach - Pollack
WR coach - Dooley
QB coach - Wilson
Dez
Butler

Some new coaches have ties to Linehan.

I posted about this weeks ago and then just this week local sports talk radio and Mike Fisher started reporting it.

These new reports added something that I didn't post which is that Stephen is the one empowering Linehan.

The good thing about this is that it appears that the concept of Garrett forcing his scheme onto Linehan is gone.

They didn't include the part about the scheme issues with Linehan/Garrett but I think it will be reported eventually.

At some point I would like to go back and review some Detriot game footage of when Linehan was there to see how it compares to what they've been doing here. Some people have posted that it was significantly different.

Well one big thing was that Megatron used to move around and ran a lot of different things. I don't want to get into a dez convo with you, but maybe this year we can see him actually utilized properly. One more example of Garrett only thinking about himself is the win against Philly that knocked us down picks that could have been used on a better player, or a move up for Derwin James who I think is the best player in this draft next to Nelson. But hey, 9-7 looks better on Garrett than 8-8

This isnt just a Garrett thing.
This need to have puppets who wont speak up starts at the top.
Jerry needs to have the same power over everyone. JG doesnt want people around him who havent figured it out yet. That makes him look bad.
Jerry is the man who needs to make sure he is swinging the biggest d.
This is why Jerry doesnt replace JG.. Its because Jerry knows no self respecting HC would agree to come here and let Jerry be the HC, hire the coordinators, be the GM, ect..

I didn't even feel that way with Parcells.
However if you would have said Jimmy Johnson, I would agree.

Sorry, but this is a really poor group of examples.

Dooley - A LOT of coaching changes were made. It wasn't just him.
Dez - Garrett has kept him for 8 years, and the only reason Dez is in jeopardy of losing his job now is because he is grossly overpaid for his production level.
Romo - How could Garrett have fired him for what he is saying now, a full year after his employment in Dallas ended?
Hardy - he was on a one year contract, and he didn't perform enough to earn a second season.

The fact is, Garrett just hasn't proven to be a high quality coach, but I find it interesting that some people have to fabricate something more than that to justify their thinking so.

In 2014 Linehan said that calling plays was very difficult for him because he wasn't used to utilizing the running game as much as the Cowboys wanted to. It was dictated to him that the team would feature, a balanced offence with a strong running game. It wasn't the other way around.

I GET THAT. I just happen to think Linehan is A LOT more flexible than Garrett is. I also think he is far more apt to learn from his mistakes then Garrett is. By no means does this mean I am a Linehan Jock rider either. Its just that there is ample evidence IMO that Garrett is what he is and will NEVER be any different than what he always has been when it comes to offense and play calling. At least with Linehan there is hope. I am willing to give him THIS YEAR as a prove it year. If he doesnt I want them all ran out of town on a rail. Hell,...I was ready for Garrett to be cast aside years ago already. Him...I am DONE WITH.
