Offseason *Sigh*

Setting the Over/Under of “RKG’s” leaving and following Garrett to NY at 3. Who do you think ends up going?

My guess is Witten, maybe Sean Lee. Uhhh, Jerry...:p

Hey we got to stay entertained somehow....:D

We need some bad hombres!! Lee and Witten are great, I actually hope they stay, but we need some fire in the locker room and on the field. I don't get the fans that hated on Dez for being vocal. This isn't chess or golf! This is football!! Where men are men and wussies get their feeling hurt!!!

In the right role and salary, I'm good with bringing them all back. I think that all three can contribute in some form or fashion and each would fill a need on a team that does have some holes to fill.

The trouble is, Witten apparently still views himself as a "starter". And if that's the case, thanks for the memories, good luck "starting" anywhere else!

And reportedly, Lee is leaning strongly toward coming back but does want to see what offers will be out there in terms of money and playing time as well.

Jerry wasted those guys. Great Cowboys but good riddance if they go to NY. What the hell is Garrett going to do with them there? Are people forgetting that Garrett sucks???

If he poaches LP we’re Dooooomed!!!!

I get the hate on Crawford, but he is an upgrade vs the run vs what we currently have.

It's not Crawford per say, it's his cap hit. Does he want a reduced cap hit? Sure, we will keep him. For what he wants? No way, thanks for the memories.

I could see Witten going because of Garrett. But Garrett won't have much influence on defense. Maybe they also pickup flemming if we cut him too. I doubt Garrett stands on the table and asks for too many former cowboys.

I just don't see Witten as a fit in New York at all. He has 1-2 years left TOPS. Let's look at the Giants depth chart at TE

Evan Engram. No chance he takes snaps from Engram.
Kaden Smith. Up and coming kid. Ate a lot of snaps when Engram went out.
Rhett Ellison. He could take snaps away from their third tight end. Ellison is also an option to be cut with a 4+ million cap hit.

So at best Witten plays the 2/3 role. He then competes with Barkley, Tate, Engram, Shepard, Slayton for catches. They aren't the most skilled team, but they do have solid skill players.

Witten would beat out Smith and Ellison to backup engram and run some 2 TE sets which gets tate, slayton, engram, witten, barkley all on the field in a power run option set. Coaches love guys they know and Garrett knows what Witten would do for the young QB they have.

Fine with me. Smith is a their best run blocking TE lol

I think Engram contract is up but he also has injury concerns almost every year.
