wow.. not only did Larry Johnson lose Roaf, he lost Tony Richardson too.. those are huge blows.. and Will Shields is another year older.. I was actually going to predict them to meet the Boys in the Super Bowl, but I might have to do some more thinking on that one..

Looks like a pretty good example of why to hold Fantasy drafts later to me.

Ok, Ive got a question for you NFL guru's. Concerning Wilie Roaf, OT for the Kansas City Chiefs, since he is retiring. And say he does. Say, during the midseason or end of season, maybe even in playoffs.

I remember we did that with Tony Liscio when Ralph Neely got hurt. Can a player after retiring, say at end of season, a team makes him an offer, if one of their offensive linemen goes down God forbid.

Could Roaf play for us if need be? Or would he still be property of the Chiefs. He still is a good player, and I saw him pull in the game he played against us last year, and boy, did he block.

he's the chief's property. they'd have to release him -- and I bet they would say "you will play with us or no one"

That bites for them. Roaf, though not quite what he was in N.O., in still a very capable and solid OG.

It's a cruel reminder of how old you're getting when someone you went to school retires.

Isn't that how Dallas got Jackie Smith?
